Address: ICICI Prudential Life Towers, 1089, Appasaheb Marathe Marg, Prabhadevi, Mumbai - 400025, Kolkata, West Bengal, 700027

Against policy number 27047002, the amount of rs. 150000 was paid twice through icici bank. The policy was registered with icici bank account and payment was initiated using the same link. The payment was due to 30th sept-2019.

Refund request was registered with both icici prudential and icici bank through email dated 30th sept-2019.

Icici prudential has acknowledged receipt stating that same will be responded by 15th october-2019 with reference number[protected]. They have also confirmed that premium has been received twice and amount is lying in suspense account.

In view of festivity, the above payments has put me in extremely hardship and i am unable to meet various commitments. While payments are made in seconds using digital means, why we should accept delayed refund beyond 15 days.

Request your intervention in resolving this issue on high prioirity.

    I recieved a call from someone [protected] claiming to be from icici prudential about my existing policy for which i had made the first payment of 50000 back in aug 2010 and policy has been deactivated due to non payment in future. She even shared me a policy number 52856624 with plan as icici pru life state assured tax saving plan and told me that my funds have reached a value of 194000. She wanted to check about if i wanted to withdraw this funds. This is definitely a fake call and needs to be looked by icici.

      i had not taken any insurance from icici & nor even i had any word with their customer care.they had force fully activated me for this bloody icici pru life.

      this is not a first time they had, this is second time they had done this.

          I had paid the premium of 2, 40, 000 rs online for the ulip policy : icici pru elite life super. I want to ensure that again the amount of rs 2, 40, 000 is not deducted again from my bank account i talked to icici prudential life - they told me for ecs cancellation - need to call the bank when i talked to icici relationship manager - he told me to contact icici pru life. So tell me what should i do now. Again call icici bank and icici pru life.

          Icici responded me on saturday evening to visit icici pru office as if they work on sunday.

          Now the banks / offices are closed : tell me where should i go to stop standing instructions. The due date is 08/sep – sunday.

          Your response is not at all helping me and neither able to understand my issue.

          Icici kept on sending me sms to pay online : where did it mentioned that standing instructions will commence 15 days earlier.

            Got campus placement in icici prudential from lucknow joining in delhi but not provided any channel and i was sent to lucknow from delhi on the basis that i have got joining there but not given me joining there in lucknow and said you don't have written document that you got joining in lucknow after that delhi hr said there also no opening is there now

              Hello,

              I have obtained the following icici prudential policies in the past at various times.

              Policy numbers:
              17139516
              16224009
              17440254
              19275777

              All these policies were taken as per the advise of your representatives at villupuram branch of tamil nadu. Each of these policies were taken with an assurance from the branch that these policies could be closed after paying 3 years of premium.

              I had been paying the annual premiums on time.

              In 2018, when i approached the branch regarding the closure of my policies, the branch manager and the person responsible for the icici prudential section advised me to take another policy and assured me that the above mentioned policies will be closed by them within 3 weeks and full amount without any penalties will be refunded to me. I did take another policy (Number:26958610and[protected] and submitted my application for closure of the above mentioned policies.

              The above mentioned policies were closed, but i only received part of the amount i paid as premiums. When i approached the branch manager, he assured me that he was working on getting my full amount.

              Since then, i had been repeatedly following up with the branch personnel and i have not been receiving any positive response, but just assurances that i would get my money back.

              At one point, your employee went up to the extent of saying that they would get money based on the reason that my mother was i’ll. I had told them that my mother passed away 5 years ago.

              After almost a year, i have lost hopes of getting my money back through the branch personnel. So, i am approaching you for a resolution.

              As communicated numerous times in the past, I don’t agree with ICICI Prudential decision due to the following reasons.
              1. I was not originally intending to close my policies. ICICI Prudential bank personnel convinced me to surrender my policy and promised full refund of the premiums.

              2. ICICI Prudential had admitted during the phone calls with me that this was your fault. That is the reason you have also agreed to close my two policies taken last year (policy number 26958610 and 26958640.). When there is a fault on your side, I would expect that you adhere to the promises given by ICICI Prudential employees.

              Here are some screenshots of the correspondences I had with your employees.

              Last week I spoke to ICICI Prudential staff Mr Manish Pillai and I was trying to explain my situation but he doesn’t want to listen anything, he was very rude while I was talking and suddenly hang up my phone call. This is not provisional manner to talking to the customers

                With reference to my policy 40767789, i was asked to do the medical tests specified by you, with a confirmation that the total cost of all tests will be reimbursed by you. Based on this i spent around bd 275/- (Inr approx. 51k) in june and now its more than 2 months still the same not reimbursed to me. Mr. Madhu sudhana rao keeps on telling its will be processed today... Tomorrow... For the past 2 months. My first experiance with icici is bitter now and i don't think i will renew the policy next year!!!

                  I.e 08.07.2019 taken term insurance plan by online policy bazar website application number OP00161918 and ICICI Prudential life insurance issued term insurance policy number 42728521. During application I given my name as mentioned in my passport Maruthi Dattananda Shetty Hanglur because of I am NRI . Some of the document in India such as Adharcard, Pan card, Driving license, Education certificate only mentioned as a MARUTHI but all other details like Address, date of birth are same in all document. so i attached all my document and signing on the document for self-declaration i don’t want face problem my family during claim if accidentally something happen to me.

                  15.07.19 contacted customer care by phone and informed above subject they advised to send email to [protected]@iciciprulife.com so i send email to them on 16 .07.19 no replay and no resolve the issue again called to customer care on 19.07.19 they informed we received your request jest wait 2-3 days we will replay by email. again i send email on 26.07.19 no replay from insurance company. i called and requested minimum 10 times to resolve the issue but they not replying on that mater. icici prudential prude company they not caring customer problem. they sending fake email try to contact my number but not reachable.

                    I have purchased icici prudential signature [policy no. 35223705], in the name of malay kumar ghosh on 12-dec-17 by redeem on of my old policy lifelink super [03191383]. During redeem the old policy lifelink super [03191383] one of customer manager in prud. Office advised me if i purchase new policy of prudential signature then there will be no tax liability to me on the maturity of the existing policy of amount i. E. 1, 54, 232/- but now i see the mentioned amount appear in form 26as and i liable to pay tax on that amount. Also she confirm that i need to pay only 3 premium for prudential signature but as per policy document it is 10 no. Premium.
                    I am customer with icici family more that 12 years but not accept this kind of misleading / false commitment from relationship manager in branch.

But message come from bank, 2 times payment done of rs 25000 each and i checked my account, there are also show 2 times debited from my account.

                      Icici prudential is a horrible life insurance provider. Wasted a lot of time by doing tests. Finally they did not provide what i asked for and policy was withdrawn with mutual consent.

                      Now that my policy is withdrawn they are not returning my money. Never seen such horrible response from their customer cares. What is stopping you from returning my money. It is been 5 months.

                      I have other other policies running i am planning to discontinue them. When you take our money everything is digital and online but when customer need something then walk to our office. What is this double game you playing to fool people. I will also tag you in twitter and let everyone know about your double standards.

                      It wont submit if we have some word like "didn't" but it will work for "did not". If you figured that out and submit then it will say 403 forbidden.                         I just inquire about team policy through policybazar.com. After i got call from them to take a policy from icici. But i have a doubt weather is it genuine or fake? I search in consumer complaints, found lot of complaints against icici. Which is thrusted bank or agency? What about sbi? Deny clime is common strategy for all complains. Compare to different companies which are thrusted one?

                          I took health cum term insurance policy from icici prudential last year and then i left india.in abroad - those health benefits premium were not making sense to me as those were applicable for india only.

                          So i decide to not renew my health insurance. Through their prudential web application there is very hard to find surrender button but that doesn't work. They don't have any call number which domestic customer (But outside india at the moment) can use to call.

                          Somehow i managed to use application to register surrender message but guess what - after sending the message there is no way in system you can check to findout if you sent something or not.

                          Anyhow since this health/term insurance are subject to renewal on year to year basis (As they don't have lump sum return), i allowed the policy to lapse.

                          3rd may was renewal date and it lapsed on 3rd june. I got message from prudential that your policy has been lapsed and if you wish to renew then you can do so till certain period of time by paying some penalty charges of late payment. So far it was good as it was my choice.

                          Now 20 days later, i deposited some money into my icici account which was linked to policy (As it was all within icici portal) and guess what - next day premium along with late fee was deducted from my account.

                          And most important the moment i got alert - i called my bank (Icici) to say that this transaction has happened without my consent (It happened few minutes ago) as we do generally to report any such transaction so that our bank can help stop the transaction or initiate reverse of it but to my surprise they said that they can not do anything about it and i need to talk to prudential department on the matter. I kept complaining that guys forget for a second that it is your department - i am simply calling you to stop or reverse unauthorized transaction. Any way i got clear no from them.

                          Does banks have rights to allow our money without consent to be shuffled between their units forcefully?

                          Does prudential department have right to keep watching and withdraw money from my bank account forcefully on lapsed policy. Shouldn't lapsed means case closed? I know for sure had i gotten sick they would have said that your policy is lapsed and we wouldn't be able to pay your hospital bills.

                          Can they force someone with acts like above to renew the policy even when customer doesn't want to.

                          If they are not allowed to act like above then doesn't this case makes icici kind of scammer of money and should be criminalized? Afterall we are talking about breach of bank account security by bank itself and as consumer i am terrified by thoughts of it.

                          Please advise if what they have done is within their rights and justified?

                              I am customer of icici prudential insurance, my policy # is 17211387 due to some reason. I was unable to continue my policy. I had paid ₹15000 premium i was unable to pay the premium due to some problem. At that time i talked with customer care regarding forclosure of that policy but he told me that the policy is having locking period of 3 years and i will not get money return, please try to get money after 3 years. Now after more than three years. I talked with customer care, now they are telling that your policy has been lapsed and i will not get any amount.
                              So tell me is it fair?, that insurance company is not paying back my money.

                                  On 29 may, 2019 i submitted complaint regarding my policies and gst refund against icici prudential life insurance. On 30 may, 2019 i receive a call from +91-[protected] this number person name deepak kumar (Employee id:12777). He said he is employee of icici prudential and contacting me regarding my complaint. He confirmed my bank account details with me and did three transactions amount rs 3602/, rs 8602/ and rs 8902/ on asking he said the amount will get credited in my account.

                                  I found those transactions suspicious and called bank to check whether those transactions are credit or debit. Bank customer care confirmed those transactions are debit transactions.

                                  Today, that person deepak kumar didn't answer my call so i filed dispute in bank and fir in police station.

                                  Icici prudential life insurance is fraud first they didn't fulfill all the commitments which they made at the time of purchase of policy. Now, they are making fraud transactions on my account.

                                  I want to withdraw both policies and refund complete amount.

                                  This consumer complaint forum is leaking data to fraud people who are making fraud banking transactions. No one is replying from from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, fake people and worst service provider.

                                  I am an advisor and policy holder too, I'm not doing anything as an advisor or as an policy holder, though I am getting OTP, so please check it urgently, who is trying to do mischief mischief. Please take it seriously and urgently.

                                    Last year i purchased two policies from icici prudential in august 2018.

                                    1. Icici pru saving suraksha (Policy no.[protected] of annual premium rs. 30, 000 with sum assured rs. 3, 00, 000 and maturity benefit rs. 2, 33, 372. Gst amount is rs.1, 351.

                                    2. Icici pru future perfect (Policy no.[protected] of annual premium rs. 50, 000 with sum assured rs. 5, 00, 000 and maturity benefit of rs. 2, 39, 925. Gst amount is rs. 2, 251.

                                    Issue:

                                    1. Gst refund: icici prudential agent promised to refund the gst amount for both the policies as i was buying two policies at once. I did follow-up till january 2019 about the refund and after that he stopped picking up my calls. Till date i have not received the gst refund amount of (Rs. 1, 351 and rs. 2, 251) that totals to rs. 3, 602.

                                    2. Financial year statement: i was supposed to receive the financial year statement for year 2018-19 with the correction in benefit summary slab of 4% and 8% slab of rs. 50, 000 which i had informed them during the "freelook period". As per the terms and conditions if any discrepancy informed in "freelook period" shall be resolved and corrected amount and address change would be sent in financial year statement.

                                    3. Conversion of yearly payment to monthly: at the time of purchase of policies i requested to convert the payment frequency from yearly to monthly from next premium cycle. I didn't receive any confirmation on that as well.

                                    Two days back (27 may 2019) i called icici pru helpline, and they said some senior person will call me back. But i didn't receive any response.

                                    I want strict action against icici pru for false commitments and want to cancel the policies and want them to refund all my money. I raised all these issues during "freelook period" but they kept on promising and didn't do anything. I will not pay any premium going forward and i will be cancelling the ecs.

                                    Attached are the proofs and i also have call recordings as proof.
