I did purchase Annuity plan from ICICIPrulife few months back, while buying policy they committed seamless customer service. Once the free look up period is completed, i tried to reach them for support on my policy, as they created the policy as Resident Indian, though i gave all details as NRI and also the Agent Sonali Bore asked me send email to confirm NRI status, i did that as well.
Its been 45 days am following up with them, starting from the agent who sold the policy, agents manager, then the NRI help desk and escalation desk as well. But they keep asking for same documents like NRI address proof more than 5 times and making me run around.
Till now they didn't change the residential status.
and Nobody is responding to calls or email properly.
Am not sure if they are legitimate.
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Same experience despite being a long term client of ICICI. Their staff must have been trained to mis-lead customers. I was guided to cancel my existing ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund investment/NRE FDs to purchase a life insurance policy with tax implications which turned out to be more of a benefit to the ICICI staff promoting products and dis-regarding implications for the customer.

    Hi,

    I got a call from [protected] saying that I have taken a policy in 2014 and have to pay 50000 for two years amounting to 1 lakh if I have to receive 335000 amount. The policy number is 18263240 under iprusmartlife plan. I have been asked to contact Vinod KR srivastava [protected]. I dont remember taking any such policy. Please confirm it's authenticity

    I got similar call today (4th Feb 2023) for same policy number. This can't be a coincidence at any cost.
    I too got a similar call today with exact same details. Policy name: iPruSmartLife, Policy no: 18263240, first premium paid in 2014: 50K, if I pay two more premiums, I will get 3, 35, 000 in Dec 2023.

    When I check with ICICI Prudential web site or call centre, they don't recognize any such policy or even my phone number.

      Auto deducted charges but not providing any written confirmation

      Address: Bangalore

      An amount of Rs 590 has been charged(auto deducted) without any notification from my account on Oct 4th 20222 statement says "NACH_AD_RTN_CHRG-IPRULI-29SEP22".

      I cross checked with ICICI Prudential, they are saying check with your bank. Band say ICICI prudential has charged. I don't know how to bring both to a conclusion. Please refund my amount.

      As I am the former employee of ICICI PRU and worked for 7 year but now I resigned my job and want to withdraw my PF money, I have sent the withdrawal form with all the documents required but still I have not received any response as I am suffering with some medical issue I need on urgent basis.         Hi ICICI Pru Team, Received another call today stating that I had taken a policy in 2014 and have to pay x amount to stop termination.

        Below are the details.

        Received call from Divya Mishra (fake crm) - [protected] and suggested to contact Retailship Manager (fake) Nitin Sharma - [protected]

        When I asked her to provide official email id of her and the so called RM, she denied. What is truly amazing is how profession their approach has. I
        even told them will contact ICICI PRU branch and she was fine with it.

          My father took an insurance in his name and made me the nominee.(policy number[protected]My father passed away on 21st Nov 2018. I was not aware of the policy. Since september 2019 I started to get calls from the company saying that the policy was going to mature and that it should be invested in another policy to save tax. I told them that my father had passed away and shared the death certificate and all other related documents. But the company representatives convinced me to change the policy, using my father's email ID (policy number[protected]. When I found the insurance documents, I asked the company to return my money and cancel the policy. In the peak of covid also I was running around their office with all the documents, including my father's death certificate. Since October 2019 I am following up, but there has been no resolution. Now they tell me that the legal department is looking into it because the policy was changed after the death of the insurer. I want my money back and the company must pay for the unscrupulous and unethical behaviour. I want to be compensated for the mental and emotional trauma I have been put through

          My complaint was forwarded to the customer support on 11th September. Till date there has been no acknowledgement neither has anyone gotten in touch with me. Such a sorry state of affairs.
          I am having a similar experience with them. Unscrupulous is putting it mildly. The behavior of their staff is unethical and unprofessional. Very sad state of affairs in a global bank such as ICICI. Which city or branch are your sales reps from? Mine is residency road, bangaore. I just filed a grievance on them. Hoping for some response.

          I am from Hyderabad. There is no clarity on which branch handles what. The standard reply is that it is in process.But for how long? I keep asking them if they are waiting for the claimant also to die so that they can close the case. Still no response.
          They don't tell me who the ombudsman is, or whom I can reach out to.

            I joined on July 19, 21 and my last working day is on may 11th, 22
            Due to medical emergency of my father i couldn't complete my notice period even i informed to my boss also he said you will be relieved in 2 days with no issues
            I provide medical reports also to my boss and HR then also they sent me recovery mail of ₹15k and hold my reliving letter
            Please resolve this issue
            I am facing financial crises i can't pay so much amount

                Dear Support team,

                We have purchased 3 icici prudential life insurance policies on July 16, 2021.
                As the advisor was given the wrong information that the policy term is single-term payments. As per his information, we have invested our money in the insurance policy, and the service is also not good as we provided all our documents ( adhar card and pan details ), however in the policy document gender and address all were wrong in the 3 policies. as we trying to change those from July but still we are not getting proper response from the insurance adviser.

                    Subject: Cheating by local agents ( advisor) by giving wrong information of icici policy
                    ( number 19562715 IPRU Wealth builder II and A0106178 single premium pruI wealth UIN)

                    Dear sir

                    In 2015 in Raipur chhattisgarh mr wasim( presently) branch head ICICI PRU at Telibandha chowk Raipur branch OF chhattisgarh) and mr Ahamed miran raza advisor( license no[protected] met me and suggested me, to not to encash some previous maturity payment of an icici policy no 19562715, because a lot of tax will be deducted on maturity benefit . They suggested to fully invest the payment to a Newpolicy (IPRU WEALTH BUILDERII), because in this new policy there will be no tax 9n maturity benefits. Ass per their suggestion i invested full amount ₹3 lakhs to above policy (number[protected]. There after i paid 3 lakh every year from 2015 to 2020. ( Total amount paid in 6 years was 18 lakhs). In 2021 They both suggested me that benefit in this policy are very limited there fore it will be better if I switch the matured amount to another single premium policy named ICICI PRU I WEALTH UIN 105L175 V02 .
                    Therefore as per their suggestions I purchased above policy of single premium of 19.10 lakhs ( out of total maturity amount of policy number 19562715, ₹19.17 lakhs)with another policy and purchased new policy numberA0106178 ( icici pru wealth I)in the month june2021. They also suggested that maturity benefits in this policy will also be exempted from any tax.
                    During filing the IT returns in This month july 2022 my CA informed that both the policies( matured one and another newly purchased single premium policy) hv no tax exemption on maturity benefits.
                    In this connection when i tried to contact mr wasim ( Raipur icici Telibandha branch head) and his companion mr Ahemed miran raza, (license no [protected]) they assured me that policy benefits are tax free under clause 10(10D) and they will provide me policy statement within day or two ( before filling the IT return) . But now they hv not only failed to provided any such document mentioning tax benefits on this policy, but also they are not attending my calls.
                    To hide the facts they hv shown their own mobile number( [protected]) in my policy no19562715. whereas my mobile number is [protected].
                    In this way They both have cheated me by wrongly informing about the tax benefits on the policy.
                    Due to there cheating and misquidance i hv been put to huge loss by 30%tax amount and also very small maturity benifit( 1.17 lakh) on investment of 18 lakhs in Six years. Morever for new policy of single premium I hv to pay tax on maturity.
                    It is very clear from the above facts that These both the persons Mr Wasim ( Raipur branch head of icici policy) and mr Ahemed miran raza hv cheated me and put me to a great financial loss. Therefor request U to take appropriate action against both the persons to save the reputation of the company and for safequard of other customers . U are also requested to inform me the action taken against Them.

                      Hi we bought the term insurance for my husband for 1.75 cr, through online portal, every thing went very smooth till the time we have paid the premium fee after that the struggle started :-
                      1)We need to follow up for medicals with RM assigned ...the struggle is to reach out to them .
                      2)Once the medical is over they increased the premium amount without informing the reason ...reached out to RM to understand on the same but instead of dropping mail and contacting him ...NO RESPONSE
                      3)Waited for 15 days and Registered complain via toll free no. As well as mail till date no response.
                      4)Finally we dropped mail for cancelation, the process was quick and smooth we got our money back .
                      Moral of the story- They have many customer and they do want new one so better go where there is customer service and people have respect for your time.

                            Loyalty Bonus had been promised while taking the policy ,but never paid

                            I had take a pension plan from ICICI in 2020.
                            A loyalty bonus of 1% on the annuity was agreed while issuing the policy.
                            The same was mentioned in the ICICI site as well
                            Till date I have been following up with customer service, the RM, but just getting lame excuses but no corrective action has been taken against it...

                            This is with regards to my SmartKid Policy: 00962026 which has matured on 16th June 2022. As per email from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd, the pay-out was to be credited to my registered bank account on 16th June 2022. However, the same has NOT been processed.

                            I visited the ICICI Prudential Life insurance ltd, Branch at Ghatkopar, Mumbai on 17th June 2022 & enquired the matter. I was informed that the direct credit has been initiated via PRN[protected] & was asked to wait for 24 hours. No credit was made to my bank account based on the confirmation provided by the branch customer service agent.

                            On 18th June 2022, I again gave a written complaint to the ICICI Prudential Life insurance ltd, Branch at Ghatkopar, Mumbai (Branch 1921) for which another call ID was generated.

                            Several complaints/calls were made in reference to my grievances:

                            I regret to state that even after several visits to branch office of ICICI Prudential Life insurance, phone calls to customer service, email to Grievance officer/Senior Grievance officers/Management & SRU, I have still not received any positive response or updates from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance on my payment.

                            This demonstrates the unethical and unprofessional attitude of the insurance company towards its customer. Even after raising call back request from SRU, there was No response to my request

                                Regarding Relieving letter

                                I had worked with ICICI prudential from June 2007 till Jan 2008 and my emp I'd was 531302.

                                After that I had joined axis Bank and they kept my releiving letter in their records.

                                I am in urgent need of copy of my relieving letter as my new organisation is asking for same.

                                I have checked alumni portal also but only annexure K is uploaded there.
