Hi,

I took a life insurance policy with ICICI, because the representative said that it can be paid through ICICI credit card and later it can be converted to EMI's. The representative compelled me to took this policy. Since it was converted to EMI, it was very helpful while repaying. But now they are saying it is not poosible. I am totally dis satisfied with the false promises given by the representative and the ICICI service.

    I had purchased policy no 02548768 in 2006 @Rs.18000/- yearly premium paid. Due to bad economic condition and also change of residense I could not continue the policy after paying first premium. I enquired at ICICI Bank Ltd. Dindoshi Branch from where I purchased from official agent of ICICI,when I was advised to wait for 3 years to have surrenderred policy refund.Now after completion of 3 Years,I visited BSL Vashi branch for refund, I was shocked that they are forcing me to revive policy paying Rs54000/- which is not within my capacity.The lady from ICICI Prulife Vashi office also told that refund will not be given.What should I do to surrender my policy and take refund back?

      Hi,

      I have surrendered ICICI Prudential policy with policy number 05393012 on 20th November, but till date I haven't received the amount.
      Below are the details
      1. On 20th November I have surrendered the policy, by providing one cancelled cherub so that the amount can be credited to my savings account
      2. But the amount has not been credited to my account and sent a cherub (cheque no -409422) to my invalid residential address
      3. The cheque got returned back to ICICI Pru Life Mumbai branch
      4. I got a message stating the cheque has been returned back, so I submitted request in Secunderabad ICICI Pru life branch stating send the new cheque to ICICI Pru Life Chandanagar branch which is near to my address.
      5. I collected the cheque on 27th November from chandanagr branch (The cheque is on my name), and credited the cheque in my savings account, but the cheque got dishonored because that is the previously cancelled cheque (cheque no -409422).
      6. Again I contacted chandanagr ICICI Pru life on 1st week of December, they said one new cheque will be issued to me in 3 days and they will call me once the cheque is received by the branch.
      7. till 22nd December I haven't get any reply from Chandanagr branch, so I went on 22nd December to know the status of my policy request, the most irritating thing here is, the cheque has been sent on 7th December but the employees in chandanagr branch has not been called me.
      8. When I got the cheque the cheque is issued on “ICICI Home Finance" which is useless for me.
      9. Now they are saying that the money will be given to ICICI Home Finance and the Home Finance will credit in my account
      10. When today on 29th December when I called they were saying they don't have any idea.

        I have been receiving call at my number[protected] continously since last three months ,I have been personally requesting them to not call again several times but of no vain ,they make it sure that they spoil our day by calling us again and again .

        The best way to get rid of all unsolicited calls is to register your number in NDNC. For this, in case of landline, call 1909. Press option "1" to register for first time. Then call 1909 again and press option "3" to register your complaint. You need to give the telephone number with exact date and time of receiving of the call. Don't forget to take complaint number for the same. In case of mobile you can SMS "START DND" to 1909. Details can be checked on website http://ndncregistry.gov.in . I have done same for number 30263800.

          Dear Sir,
          My name is -SITAKANTA ACHARYA. And my father’s name is- SUDARSANA ACHARYA.
          I have a policy from ICICI-PRUDENTIAL with policy number[protected] for the last 4 years almost.
          It is in the category of Maximizer- growth unit link plan.
          As the unit cost went down drastically in November 2008, one of the executives came from ICICI , by name “Swati” and said that she had been sent by their head office to help the policy holders recover from the loss. And she had almost all the details of my policy, so I believed that.
          She advised me to divert a part of the money in that policy without any extra charge where there was a guaranteed profit. And I agreed to divert Rs 15000.00 and she created a new policy with number[protected] on 26 Dec 2008.
          My billing address at that time was
          38-A, Nagli Rajapur.
          Nizamuddin East,
          New Dellhi -13
          But there was no such request from my side to return any money to me from the old policy[protected]maximiser).
          In the month of April 2009, before I left Delhi and shifted to Bangalore I requested, on 16 Mar 2009, to change my address to :
          No-7, 16th -Main, 17th Cross
          N.S. Palya, BTM 2ND Stage , Kuppuswamy Layout.
          Bangalore 560076. Ph-[protected]
          The Policy agent “Swati” took all the details and committed to me that she will take care of this address change properly and I need not to worry for that.
          After coming to Bangalore I never received any of the billings of both of the Policies at my Bangalore address. When I check with Swati, she told me that there was a cheque of Rs 15000.00 was sent by mistake to the Delhi address in the month of March 2009. I checked with my family that had been staying at the mentioned Delhi address till August and no such cheque was received from ICICI on my name.
          Still there is no such information about that cheque , which I had never asked for and every time I called Swati, she told me that she would look after the matter and resolve everything.
          Nothing is resolved so far and she is not even picking up the phone these day If I call.

          Please consider my problem. I need your kind help and am not a rich person to ignore such a big amount of money which I have been saving for the marriage of my adopted daughter.

          I HAVE A SMARKID POLICY OF ICICI PRU. AND PAYING MY PREMIUM ON TIME.
          NOW I HAVE RECEIVED A CALL OF MR. RAJ MALHOTRA (M.NO.[protected]) FROM ICICI PRUDENTIONAL FOR A INVESTMENT PLAN, I SAID I AM NOT INTERESTED FOR ANOTHER PLAN BECAUSE I AM ALREADY USING YOUR SMARTKID PLAN. AFTER A DAY ONCE A CALL I HAVE RECEIVED WITH T.NO.[protected] OF ANY MS. SHE SAID I AM CALLING FROM ICICI AND UI ARE USING A SMARTKID POLICY WHICH FUND VALUE IS APOX 45 K AND TAKE ANOTHER PLAN, I SAID I HAVE NO INTEREST SO SHE THAT WHY ARE U PAYING PREMIUM OF SMARTKID POLICY, CLOSE THEM AND SHE MISBEHVE ME. I AM VERY SHOCKED TO SEE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOUR. KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER SERIOUSLY AND TAKE ACTION AGAINST MR. RAJ MALHOTRA & THAT LADY FOR MISBEHAVE THEIR VALUABLE CUSTOMER. I AM VERY UPSET .               Is keep on calling me on my mobile and forcing me to take insurance policy when asked from where he got phone no. his reply was he has got phone no. data with name from his unit manager.

              This is a regular nature of call which he made to me no. of times it is just a harassment and these kind o[censored]nwanted call needs to be stopped with immediate effect.

                  Forever Life RP (UIN: 105N001V01) policy number 00381610. Surrender of Policy with refund value of Rs 50975.

                  I have sent multiple reminders to ICICI Prudential since 14-May-08. The summary of Email correspondence with ICICI Prudential is

                  1) Advisor ( Hemraj Chheda and Bhagwati Chheda) associated with Policy opening is not having any interest and inclination. Services are not available for the change in address, premium receipt followup, payment mode by credit card, change in contact numbers, etc.

                  2) As per the Email dated 26-Mar-09, received from ICICI prudential,

                  The Surrender value = 35% of total premiums minus first premium + Bonus
                  Total 6 premiums paid till year 2008 is = Rs 61170
                  Surrender Value = 35 percent x (61170 minus 10195)]+ GA + vested Bonus

                  Bonus Details are
                  • GA till Mar2006 = 32455.06
                  • Vested Bonus in Mar-07 = 8204.79
                  • Vested Bonus in Mar08 = 7819.80

                  Total Bonus = 48479.65

                  Accordingly Surrender Value = [35 percent x (61170 minus 10195)]+ 48479.65 = 50975

                  ICICI declares Surrender value of Rs 30433/-

                  I have sent complaints to IRDA and Insurance ombudsman. They seem to be associated with the company ICICI Prudential. Overall my attempt of communication with ICICI Prudential on its services, dissatisfaction, lack of response from advisor, its rudeness in replies and non-availability of customer friendliness, is completely not available.

                  Due to misrepresentation, inability to furnish justification to continue with policy and Dishonesty in hiding the fine prints which are not presented before purchase of Policy by ICICI Prudential, I request the authority to arrange refund of Rs 50975/- along with interest on delayed settlement request initiated to ICICI from Jan-2009.

                  I am looking for any information which can help me to file the consumer complaint and criminal case against the chairman, Insurance advisor and all the directors of the company for cheating, misrepresentation, breach of trust, causing wrongful loss and dishonesty.                     I applied for Insurance policy under the above scheme, paid the premium on 2/11/2009,chq encashed on 3/11/2009 policy issued on 29/11/2009 at 29/11/2009 NAV and received the document on 05/12/2009. Applied for Free look refund on 14/12/2009 accepted by the company on 16/12/2009 and refused for refund on 19/12/2009. Reason being that the applicant is the advisor of the company. Applicant/proposor Mahesh Bhutra is not the advisor but BP (Business Partner) of the company.

                      Dear Sir/Madam,
                      I had applied for ICICI Prudential Health Insurance.Rs.15000 debited from my credit card.Unfortunately my application declined by ICICI Prudential.When I spoke to customer care of ICICI prudentail they provide me compalint number and assured that ICICI prudential will refund Rs.15000 within seven working days.
                      I wait for eight days but I did not get that ammount.When I called ICICI prudential customer care again excutive provide me another complaint number 14836035 and said I would get ammount within seven working days again.In this way its been 45 days.ICICI Prudential concerned persons are doing nothing to revert back my amount.

                        i wish to inform you that due to my financial crunch , i would like to surrender the policy of icici prudential of policy number[protected] against myself subir kumar dey as policy holder , gave premium of amount 15000 rs as the first premium,
                        after that i have spoken many times to your customer care officers for the refund of the policy but no positive result found.

                          My name is Manesh R Patel, i have taken ICICI Prudancial policy before six months.

                          As per your pune office phone, it was yearly premium, same i have taken policy for yearly premium from your Ahmedabad person Mr. Gunjan (Cell no. [protected])

                          I have already discussed with your Delhi branch person Mr. Piyush (Cell No. [protected])

                          I have so many times called to Mr. Gunjan (Ahmedabad office person) & he has cometted it is yearly premium not the six monthly.

                          Now i have got SMS for due premium Rs. 30, 000 is 22nd Feb'2010, six monthly.

                          Again i have called Mr. Gunjan (Ahmedabad), but now he is not lifting my mobile & not responding any think, hence please cancelle my policy & give my my Rs. 30, 000.

                          I don't want continue with ICICI Prudencial, due to your persons are chitting with the Customer.

                          Please give me your responce a.s.a.p.

                            Sir , though I made a request to cancel the policy document sent to me by ICICI they refused to cancel it. They kept on sending me credit card statements with interest levied on interest and finally removed rs 5814.50 on16/3/2009 from my saving a/c. After I wrote a letter to CMD, they refunded 6271 to credit card a/c.When I asked the credit card department to refund the payment made from saving a/c less 200 charges charged by ICICI prudential RS 5614.50 they refuse to pay me saying that u are defaulter and bank applied certain rule to withdraw from my saving a/c
                            Pls help me what should I do

                            I taken ICICI prudential Wealth II plan on 20 Jan 2011. Policy number is LL38357217. I

                            havent any of the documents also till date. I paid a premium of RS 24000/- also. But

                            due to financial situation i cancelled the policy on 29 Jan 2011. But the policy amount

                            they refunded is only 23150. This is not good while taking policy and during

                            cancellation form submission they clearly told full amount will be refunded also. How

                            this happened. I will not submitt the check in my bank till i got resolved. I directly

                            gone to AnnaNagarBranch in chennai also. They are not giving a good response also. They

                            are saying market is down. But my policy details are not available in any of the branch

                            also. Then how they can deduct this much of amount. I haven't opted for medical also.

                            Till it got resolved. I will make complaints in all the portals and forums. This is not

                            good for a bank like ICICI. Dont spoil the name because of these silly things. I need

                            an immediate resolution.

                              Still i didnt receive any proper assistance from your side.
                              TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.
                              where the hell is my policy documents and my money.
                              Neither you are sending me my money back to me nor my policy documents.
                              I dont want your policy not at any cost.
                              Please refund my money back to me.

                              Hospital Care Insurance — Policy sold by fraud by ICICI Prudential

                              a policy was sold to by fraud showing many benefits of the policy. but after payment is deducted from my side, i call ICICI customer care and i was shocked that non feature which i was told is in my policy. it is a clear case of fraud.

                              i was told that i may include my family members in the policy cover but now when i call to cover my wife, they are clearing saying that it is a indivudual policy and non other than me can be covered under this.

                              a sum of Rs. 8000.00 (approx) is deducted from my account.

                              pl tell me what should i do to recover the amount.

                                Hi,

                                I have taken Life insurance from ICICI Prudential for my Duaghters and had paid premium of 30000/ each in the month of Sep'09. Now, 2 days back I got the letter from ICICI Preudentil stating that 1 premium is still due and is been ceased due to non receipt of payment.

                                Now, I have the acknowledgement details from ICICI pru, which I got at the time of depositing 30K each in both the accounts. Now when I spoke to ICICI Pru guy then intially the lingered on that syatem is not working and they are not able to find the details BUT finally they have agreed that it was a mistake at their end and they have deposited all 60K in 1 account instead of depositing 30K in each.

                                Now, they are asking me to sign on internal transfer letter Which I am denying as its a mistake from their end and they should get this corrected. Now I am sure that they gonnalevy late payment charges as well + reactivation charges for the ceased account. I am HELPLESS and action should be taken against ICICI Prudential for such negligence.

                                I am planning to formally launch a compalint against ICICI Pru as well.

                                      I have following folio numbers against which I haven't received the Account Statements since last one year. There is no change in my address & contact no.

                                      Under these folios I've opted for SIP which is being deducted from my bank monthly. I need to know the status of my money.
