ICICI Prudential Life Insurance — lied and duped about ulip icici elite policy surrender options within lockin period by customer care, branch and grievance officer

I had paid policy premium for 4 years and with menial returns on the icici elite policy decided to surrender and get my monies back as soon as possible. I visited the icici branch and they lied surrender is not possible as per rules and only option is to not pay the next term, post which the fund value will be moved to a discontinuation fund and money transferred to my account after an year. They removed the ecs facility at the branch advising me not to pay the next term.

The next year meaning now when i see the timing of fund movement to discontinuance fund and value, it was very suspicious. I read the policy document having doubts on the service provided to me by icici. To my surprise there was a specific surrender clause that did have facility to move my money to dp fund on that day. I raised multiple grievances at icici facility post which i received multiple calls from branch people and grievance officers who reiterated the same lie that missing payment was the only option available last year.

After i copy pasted the clause from the policy document the latest answer i get is they can proceed only if i give the date time or name of the person who lied to me 1 year before.

I told multiple times on the phone that the date they removed ecs can be used to find the date i visited the office and the issue was not with the person, but consistent training given by icici which was the reason right from the person at that time to the most recent icici grievance redressal officer reiterating the same lie over phone amd verbally and not providing anything on those lines in writing when asked for. I had asked the same 1 year before and i was denied then too..

I feel cheated, stressed and stupid for having trusted them with my money in the first place and every time the grievance redressal officer was just making sure they are duping customers that cannot be beaten legally.

They have cheated me of 30%of my hard earned money and are acting proud on the same.

I am sure if any person visits any of their centre regarding surrender would be lied to that surrender is not possible, but defaulting payment is. This is not an employee problem, but company training and policy as all folks from the branch manager to customer service to grievance officer reiterated the same lie consistently until i sent across the policy document statement extract contradicting the same.
