ICICI Prudential Life Insurance — Rejection of life insurance claim (Death of my father suicide)

We would like to clearly state that my father passed away due to suicide by falling from the godavari bridge.

Furthermore, we are deeply concerned about the lack of due diligence on the part of the insurance company. Given my father’s age (56years), it was the insurance provider’s responsibility to carry out proper medical verification or require the necessary laboratory investigations before policy approval. If that process was overlooked or ignored, the fault lies with the insurer — not the customer. At no point were we informed or advised to undergo such investigations, nor was it communicated that failure to declare pre-existing conditions would result in the nullification of the policy.
