ICICI Prudential Life Insurance — Term Insurance - Standing instruction | |||
Some Years back I had given a Standing Instruction to automatically debit the insurance premium from my then active credit card. At the time of setting up this SI, I had submitted the Credit card number along with the expiry date to the ICICI Prudential website. Last year the credit card expired. ICICI Prudential tried to charge my card last year which failed as card expired. I did manual Payment. This year again they tried charging the same card even though knowing that the card has expired. Again I made a manual payment. For both these ICICI has charged me a Bounce fee of 150 each(Total 300) Now when I call up Customer care to remove this standing instruction, They asked me to send email to [protected]@iciciprulife.com and [protected]@iciciprulife.com But to my surprise they want me to visit a branch during this lockdown in Maharashtra that too to just disable a non functional Standing instruction. This is like trying to create maximum inconvenience to the customer so that they can keep charging a bounce fee. Where as ICICI promotes itself as no#1 internet banking. Request : 1. ICICI Should cancel the SI on call or email as anyways its not functional 2. ICICI Should not be attempting a charge on my card when I have already communicated an expiry date. Hence the bounce fees is wrongly charged should be refunded. Was this information helpful? | |||
