[Resolved] Idea Cellular India — Complaint for not merging number in easy share plan and mental harassment of customer | |

I have applied for Idea postpaid connection around 27 July 2015.
I have 2 Vodafone number : [protected] and [protected]. I want to take Easy share plan. So that I can share benefit of plan in both my mobile numbers.
My first number [protected] get activated on 7th august 2015 after 2 rejections. Rejection is due to insufficient information provided to me.
My second number [protected] activation rejected due to “Lack of local residence proof”. At Idea store they have taken local residence proof for [protected] but tell me that there is no need for local residence proof in second number that is [protected].
After 10 days around 17th July 2015, I have called idea store about the status of 2nd number activation . Then they told me that It is rejected to “Lack of local residence proof”. They didn’t even bother to inform customer that application is rejected.
I went to idea store and resubmitted my photo, Aadhar card and local residence proof. My second number [protected] activated on 26th July 2015.I have started using Internet on [protected] but Charges applied for internet usage.
To know about internet charges, I call Idea customer care. They told me your second number [protected] is activated independent of first number (Actually Idea store people had to add my second number in Easy share plan). But because of Idea store mistake 2 numbers are activated independently.
To know and solve this issue, I visited Idea store on 27th July 2015. They told me that they have applied for merging this two numbers but Request Id cannot be given to me . At Idea store, I have called Idea customer care officer Mr. Satish. Mr. Satish explained me very nicely about the issue and also talked with Idea store in charge Mr.Ganesh. Mr.Ganesh and Mr.Satish told me that merging will be done in 3 days and your first bill which is to be generated on 6th September will be taken care by my idea and I have to pay “nothing = 0 Paisa”. I have spent 1 Hour on Idea store to solve the Issue.
Now, On 6th September, my bill for number [protected] of 320 rs generated and merging of two numbers has not been done. So Again I went to Idea store, they told me you have to pay the bill. I called Customer care and talked to Mr Satish. He told me that Mr.Ganesh had made a promise to take care the bill. Mr.Ganesh was not present at Idea store. They told me that Mr.Ganesh is on leave and whenever he comes he will call me. With assurance of getting call I went home. I have spent 1 Hour on Idea store to solve the Issue.
On 7th and 8th September I have called Idea store but Mr.Ganesh not available. Finally, On 9th September I have taken mobile no. Of Mr.Ganesh and called him. He told me that Merging of two numbers take time How much he don’t know and Some amount will be deducted from my bill after merging is done.
My due date for bill submission is 21st September. so Again on 11th September I called Idea store, They tell me that Mr.Ganesh is not available. I called Mr.Ganesh on personal mobile number but he is not picking up the phone.
I am latterly frustrated with this kind of bad service. No one is able to give answers to my question.
Till now, My two numbers are not merged. I cannot use internet and cannot make calls from [protected]. What should I do now? I want to deactivate my idea number but store person tell that you have to use for 3 months and pay the bills.
So this is the way you treat your customer idea? and looted them? Customer has to suffer due to lack of knowledge of idea customer care executive and Idea store persons. Every time I call customer care, I have to request to transfer call to some senior person.
My questions;
1. Can I deactivate my number now?
2. Why merging take so much time?
3. Is it my mistake that they have activated two numbers independently in spite of specific instruction so that I have to pay 320 rs?
4. What about the bill of present month ? Rental will be charged to me as per 30 rs/day?

In reference to above complain I received call from Idea store, Loni. Mr. John told me that first you pay 320 rs bill then merging can be done. Why should i pay bill which is generated due to their mistake?
He told me to come to store. I visited store for 10-15 times earlier. I am fed up of visiting the store. Every time they gave false
commitments and are unable to fulfil commitments.
I just want satisfactory commitment by senior person who can take responsibility of solving the whole matter or deactivation of my number.
