[Resolved]  Idea Cellular Ltd — Regarding the connectivity and data roaming issues

Hi,
PART 1:

This is regarding the connectivity and data roaming issues I faced in my last bill cycle and also facing currently . I did a analysis in 3 circles of IDEA Roaming where I traveled in April'16 and May'16
1- Madhya Pradesh (Indore city and surrounding region)
2- Bengaluru
3- Mumbai
The connectivity and network was so so poor that I couldn't use a single byte of data effectively. Each time I tried to open a web page or an app it kept on loading and when I switch off the data and re-open it the allowance is deducted for usage but actually I didn't use the data due to your network issues.


I called the call center multiple times and there are complaint references also available for the issue . But no resolution was provided and I payed additional data charges since allowance was rapidly consumed and got over very early.

Secondly, You don't have your own 3G services in Mumbai and Bengaluru circle. Each time I am selecting the network manually the 3G data was switching to "AIRTEL" network

Why is it so? This causes data connectivity issues and allowance is wasted in every time switching on and off between networks and also my device is affected and more battery is consumed. Also most of the times due to slow connectivity the data is switching to 2G automatically and you are charging me for 3G speed which is unethical and wrong.

Please see data charges entries from the bill of cycle 4April- 03 May '16 for proof where you have deducted the allowances and also attached are screenshots from my device for the same timestamp where I switched off the data but then too allowances were deducted.

Your stupid untrained call center staff shouts and doesn't understands anything technically. They tell me to switch on and off the phone, I know how to switch off and on the phone.

Belonging to telecom software domain I find these arguments silly.

PART 2:
Regarding VAS and unethical charges levied on auto renewal etc. I activated a roaming incoming free fixed rental pack for 75/- in May month. Earlier this was on prorated basis i.e. for how so many days its used it will be charged as 75/- monthly charge (prorated)
but now its changes to flat 75/- rental and manual deactivation is required else it gets auto renewed without any alert or SMS which is wrong!! Now on the night of bill cycle end date it gets auto renewed and without even realizing extra 75 rs is added to customers bill or this pack about which we are unaware, and next day when I called call center to get it de-activated.

But the call center people didn't inform that its already auto renewed and deactivate it, So its a double loss on customer
1- The charges are levied
2- The pack is deactivated and benefits are also not provided.
3- Since the pack is deactivated and when i go to roaming circle additional roaming charges are levied on my bill

So I end up paying thrice of what I should pay actually.

If the pack is already auto renewed then it should and be deactivated or it should be deactivated even after auto renewed and charges should be waived off.

Overall there is a great dis-satisfaction in billing and every month I having a bill query/dispute and feel cheated and wrongly charged despite paying all the dues and bill payments well in advance
