I am not an idea representative and I have faced a similar situation earlier for which I logged a consumer complaint earlier.
Please don't panic your number will be activated without any verification ( not sure if they think as a fish in their trap as it happened to me).
Just to set up your expectations every now and then my number used to get disconnected and my LORD idea wished I could talked to my dear ones...
I have logged several complaints and called their customer care departments however still waiting for their replies..attaching of copy of my complaint...

I was user of idea number [protected] and this is my email id ([protected]@gmail.com) registered with idea.
I was using this number when I was back there in Delhi till November 2014.
Then I transferred to Kolkata and due to some unknown reasons this number was disconnected and due to which I faced lots of issues as all my bank account and netbanking was tied up this number.
Then one day I got a call from idea representative rather using abusive/completely unprofessional language from [protected] number. After lots of discussions she asked me to pay pending amount of appox.1800 to close the number and I did that.
Now after 3-4 months I again got an invoice stating I have pending amount of 1025 and for same I called customer care complaint department at [protected] and talked to Mr.Alok and he assured that this number somehow was not disconnected and again I have to pay Rs1025 and give a call back to disconnect the number.
I confirmed with him that I am not using this number from last 6-7 months and as customer care center too too far from home I can't visit there, for which he assured that we will disconnect in no time just I have to pay the residual amount.
I again paid the amount and give the same number a call back where I am getting the same shocking answer that I need to visit the branch.
Assuming unprofessional behaviour again I have recorded the call with Mr.Alok.
Can you please disconnect the number and justify why misleading information is being given by customer care executives.
I am really really upset by the behaviour and confirm that I am not using this number from last 6 month and if any more bills are raised I will not any money for it.
