We purchased a Eva Aqua washing machine on Jan 2018 with warranty until Jan 2022. Details are as follows: Customer Name: Balasubramaniyan Model: EVA AQUA SX LDT (6KG 800 RPM) Sr.no[protected] Address: TVS Avenue, Anna Nagar western extension, Chennai -600101, Tamil Nadu. Dealer: Royal Enterprises, Korattur area in chennai, TN. Problem: Smoke coming from machine while dry spinning with load. Service dealer assigned by customer contact centre checked the machine and said to replace tub and front-load door rubber gasket and quoted price of ₹5500. The technician said tub cost will be covered by warranty but door rubber gasket will cost ₹5500 and will NOT be covered by warranty. I checked online and found that price of this spare part is less than ₹1000. I also spoke to a IFB dealer based in Coimbatore city and he said the cost for door gasket should be around ₹1500. ₹5500 is 20 percent of the purchase price of a brand new machine and this has been quoted for the gasket! My query to you: 1. Is the rubber gasket NOT covered by warranty? 2. Please quote the official MRP price for rubber gasket for this model. Reaching out to you since IFB customer care call centre said they cannot do anything in this situation. Please escalate this for appropriate resolution is my request. Thank you. IFB Industries customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Dec 01, 2020 Updated by vatsala Iyer Got a call from the dealer on the 30th of Nov morning. Informed him about the price discrepancy and about my email to IFB Global. He said he was closing complaint as he cannot keep it open and will reopen the ticket when he receives my email from IFB global. So, please note that even if ticket is closed, it is due to your internal TAT issues, my issue remains unsolved and pending resolution.
