[Resolved]  India Post — Delay in delivery of article.

Hi there,
This is regarding my express parcel via india post from kolkata, india to brampton, canada. The parcel (Which includes cricket kit only) was initiated at kolkata gpo on april 8th 2016 and my father was informed that it will be delivered in next 7-8 days. The last update made available online on april 12th states - "kolkata (Ex calcutta) exchange office (India)-- article bagged (This is the event)".

I tried to call india post but the given number seems to be incorrect - "for international mails related queries call our toll free number[protected]".

When tried to raise a complaint online, got the following response - "complainant is requested to re lodge the complaint according to report of kolkata foreign or contact with office of booking along with copy of postal receipt & necessary document".

Not sure what does "kolkata foreign" means in layman terms. I think india post should come up with a better response for its customers instead of providing vague ones.

Would appreciate if someone can let me know what does "article bagged" event stands for?
Also, whats the actual eta for the parcel delivery to happen from kolkata, india to brampton, canada.

I have received the shipment on 10th Business day instead of stated 7-8 Business days. Probably, I should have waited few more days before raising my concern. Thanks.
