India Post — encashment of matured kvp/nsc from any post office branch

The kvp /nsc can be purchased from any post office branch and on maturity, the maturity amount can be collected from the post office branch from where purchase was made or from any other branch near the place of residence etc of purchaser. If proceeds are collected from some other branch, 3-4 weeks are consumed for verification from branch where from kvp/nsc were purchased, even though because of cbs branches lesser time should be consumed.
If the purchaser wants to enacash matured kvp etc from other branch and is willing to wait for 3-4 weeks more, then post office staff should not ask the holder of kvp etc to go to purchasing branch to get maturity proceeds.
Thus directions should be given to all post offices in delhi /ncr and other places to accept request relating to getting maturity proceeds in any branch and holder should not be asked to go to purchasing branch only for any reason, as customer is required to go there also twice, once for giving particulars of kvp etc and to inform that maturity date has come /passed and then after 2-3 days to collect the cheque of maturity amount.
