India Post — indecent and offensive behaviour of postal staff at dlf phase iv, galleria market with customer (me)

Address:DLF City Phase IV, Sushant Lok, Gurugram, Haryana 122002, Gurgaon, Haryana, 122002

I went to the post office for the first time with my wife who has 2 savings account, numerous nsc, recurring accounts, fd, sukanya accounts just to name a few with the postal departments. We are customers since atleast 4 decades but never had such a horrible experience at any of the post office all over india where we have smoothly transacted. But this was surely a first experience.
From the first moment this madam sitting at the counter spoke rudely to us and to all our queries stating, "if your signatures are present in the account and there is any money in the account, only then we will give you your withdrawals." constantly she kept speaking rudely to us and when i gave her my withdrawal slips (2 of them from 2 different accounts we hold), she said its "lunch time" so she wont work or do it until that hour was over. It was still 12:50 pm and the lunch hour was still 10 minutes away. But she closed down the counter saying she is going to lunch and come after 1:30 pm. We told her it was still time to 1:00 pm then she started shouting at us that it's her time for lunch and she will not compromise with it. That was when we asked her why she was being categorically rude to us since the beginning. She shouted at us saying that we should mind our language and volume while she had a higher pitch all the time. Then she claimed that my wife was not one of the party in both the accounts. She came forward and said that her picture was affixed on the passbook and her name was on the account with the kfc duly filled because she is the only person transacting on both the accounts since years. If she wasn't there, how could she transact from other post offices all over the country? She said its your and their problems, but since she doesn't see my wife's name on the accounts or her signatures on any one of them at all she will not give any money to her. She even asked my wife to enter into her cabin to see that she was right.in the process all the time she spoke in "tu-tera account" and similar degrading toneto both o[censored]s and creating a scene. At one point she even shouted at both o[censored]s to get out of the post office at her command. That was when we lost our temper and retaliated back to her in equally high volume. When my wife went in, she showed her where her names were listed.in one account my wife is the main account holder and this lady claims that your name is not there and your signature is also not there. How can this be possible? I never had such an issue in any post office or even head post offices of many cities where my wife has transacted. Then my wife showed her signature to the madam and showed it on her system where it was uploaded. She had another co-worker by her side who confirmed that my wife was right and her signature matched.
In the second account again it was the same story. Madam couldn't see her name or the signature which my wife showed and pointed to her. All the time she kept on shouting that we were misbehaving with her. She also said that she wasn't our servant to serve. If we have problems we can get out.
Although she was forced to give us the money, we could see it was something she didn't like. However, when we were depositing money into our rd accounts, she kept silent.
Later we walked up to other people in the staff and asked them the name of this rude madam, they refused to disclose it. There is no place in the entire office that had their names displayed as well. Then we asked the other staff the number to complain, they refused to give saying that the matter is over so why were we still angry over it. Also, behavioral issues are no matters to complain in this department. No one will bother and misbehaving is part of the package with the postal department. We have no rights to complain about the insulting, offensive and indecent behavior of any of the staff. They are government employees and no one can do anything to them. They are not private call-center-jobs people. They are all permanent employees of the government department. They in the end said "aagey jo tere se ban pade kar lo"..
If you check the reviews of this branch on google, you will see that it wasn't just our complaint. This is the common complaint of atleast 100 other cusotmers at this branch.
This is ultimate, horrible, hooliganism of the government employees with their age old clients and their families. Disgusting and degrading level of indian postal department of india

The entire staff spoke like hooligans be is men or women staff members. Kindly request to have them suspended/removed from service or atleast punished for their goonda-like behavior with their old clients. One of their staff members told us outside the branch that we all speak like this way with all our customers. The Madam you had a tiff with has a name for misbehaving with customers at a very great length. She is our star performing staff member and lots of people of various profiles have complained against her but could do nothing against her. Kindly help change this over-confidence of these hooligans.
