India Rehab Centre — scamming people for donation

Hi, today also I am getting a same call from [protected].
I am not sure if it's fake or not.

I got a call from same scammers with same WhatsApp message today. Initially they said they got my number from a blood camp, then they said someone who attended the camp referred my name and after asking the name of person they said it is confidential and after sometime the person said he dialed a random number and when asked how he knew my name if it is random number, he said he checked in true caller...once I identified they are a scam the person started to curse me and threaten me. Beware of such people

I got a call yeserday from a volunteer Named Shreya, content was same. And they appeared to be hurrying for the decision. When I said I will verify with Bilaspur police station first, they insisted I call hospital number. I obviously said I do not trust a telephone number, as I cannot verify.

I also got a call from the same organisation INDIA REHAB CENTRE for patient Virat 2days back I ask them to send mail in the mail I found the relevant details and I took a decision to verify each and everything related to case and credentials of this Ngo.i have been a employee with planning commission of India Delhi Central sectarian, I visited this organisation with one of my friends and I found 13patients, 2doctors and team of volunteers who guided us.for the case I spoken to hospital authority of BTRC on hospital website, I found this legit and will love to join for those who don't have a good life

Even I got a similar call some time back and was asking for donation for baby Ritika.

I said I will check and let you know. He asked me to transfer money instantly and then verify as this was very urgent. I read all the reviews here and decided not to give. After that they sent some text message, attached here

Yes just now I too received a call from one of them . They shared me same pics of a burnt child and asking for donation.

They are keep on asking and also crying for donation. I do not know why people play with this kind of cheap fake calls for earning money.

Even I received a call from a volunteer named Alisha on 21st of August ‘18 asking me to donate some amount which would be used to cure a child named Virat Singh. She had sent me few photos of that child along with pan card and other details. At first I asked her some time to think about this issue and let her know. She was like it’s an emergency and we need ur help right now. After looking at those photos anyone would be melted to donate money towards that child. She didn’t even give me time to think and I made a payment of Rs.1500 . Later I searched for the details of this organisation ( India Rehab centre) and I found these complaints. It’s a very big scam guys. How come Same kid named Virat is been under treatment for past one month and that too in two differnt hospitals. There must be some way to stop these people.

Guys, thanks for sharing your experience, I too got a call asking for help for a burnt victim.

I told him i am not interested giving charity on request received through phone calls, he was quite forceful and seemed desperate, clear indications that he was not genuine.

His name was Shazeb, call came from this number [protected], so much for Aadhar and mobile linking !!!

These scams needs to be stopped.

India rehab centre!! Complete ill mannered volunteer Mohit thakur who asks you to give money what they want "in thousands". When I told I will give what I can they say 100-200 don't give and have the guts to say " sharam karo". So decided not to donate!!

Same experience as those written in previous reviews. I got repeated calls from a volunteer named Laxmi Paul about a girl named Ritika being burned. I have fallen prey to these kind of calls before and decided not to donate again as I noticed a fraud complaint posted on web regarding the same volunteer name and number. When I said very humbly about not donating the money, the volunteer started hurling abuses at me saying "toh mudde victim ka info kyon manga, mera waqt barbad kyon kiya ", "besharm.ho tum", "tumhari bacchi rahegi toh dekhna tumhe bhi koi donate nahi karega ", and
some more stuff.

If you are a real volunteer, you cannot enforce someone to pay money, you can only request. If the other person ia not willing to pay, a real volunteer shall not have a problem as it is a question of everyone's will. This so called Volunteer was completely atrocious, arrogant and audacious. She had to be as they are pure scamsters.

Worst part of this is, people are not going to believe even the real ones because of these ###. Do not fall prey to such nonsense people.

Another point, how come all the NGO calls originate from Delhi only? And how do they get numbers of people in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan to call up? The reason being that, it is impossible for anyone in the southern, central or western part of a india if there is really a patient needed real help.

I even Got the same call yesterday by some lady name Vidya and gave me the same thing about kid in surgery where they are asking for money and to support. I told them I will first verify and if find you guys legitimate then will surly help. But as agreed with all you guys the link they gave is fake and they are surly not legal to me. Also they are doing too much follow up, I myself been involved with many charity work but this way we never did follow up with clients. Pls do advice where else we can put complaint about such people so can those people be saved who are not aware of such crooks.

I got one call from Sweta Yadav expressing as a volunteer of India rehab Centre, demanding for donation for some one and I agreed to donate for some amount but she was continuousely pressing for bigger amout (Rs.1000/), but she didnot agree, hence, I opened the Comments page and found so many comments stating the fraud...so, how she got the Phone No. I am not engaged with any NGO or volunteer service...I donot know...this seems to be miracle...

I have received a call from a Guy mentioning himself a volunteer studying and supporting cause of India Rehab Center, he wasn;t intend to disclose his name but was disclosing a name of guy called Deepankar who would be coordinating or not but mentioning same. When I mention that I will take time before transferring money online, he insisted on committing amount now and started questing credibility like how can I verify that he fake caller or not, he was even mentioning that he will do video call showing burning child.

What i Believe is such people are undoing work done by such organization of India Rehab Centre. They are taking a n advantage of photos posted by India Rehab Centre and asking to commit money immediately and transfer. Somehow unable to understand such demand should be voluntarily and not forcefully; and involvement of India Rehab Centre is also questionable. Either India Rehab centre is aware of it or malicious people part of this organization only running such scams to garner money. If they are aware, why there is no such advisory of beware of fake calls.

I haven't committed money to transfer neither there is a possibility until such things (looting money through fake calls)stop.

I also got this call today in evening from India Rehab center, they also told me that a 2 yrs child got burnt severely and needs money immediately for operation When I asked them about my phone number details He told that he got it from Red cross society I am not sure about its authenticity The way he is enforcing to transfer money makes me feel whether is it genuine or not.

I also got a call a month back as well as today. Same kind o[censored]rgency was shown and entire stress was to make sizable payment immediately. If you don't respond to their calls after initially talking and hanging up, they send "Shame on you" message ki 'aapki beti hogi to yahi karoge.'. Gov must hunt them down so they stop fooling people and take wrong advantage of their soft side. I had once done a transfer of 2100/- after that got call, ki 5000 - for single injection is required. Please transfer some more amount, will not call again..etc etc.
My point is, if they are dealing with emergency case all the time, why don't they reserve a fund to address such cases. Why money is required only when some case crops up. I really feel, its fake guys. Their emergency and multiple follow-ups from n- no of people and numerous calls certainly make me feel, its in-genuine..

I got a call today from one volunteer of India Rehab Center, named Mani. First she asked money to be transferred for treatment of baby Manvi who was reported to be suffering from severe burns. When I did my preliminary checks on their website and decided to contribute some amount, she immediately started crying in a different voice, and started calling me brother and wanted more than double the amount I had agreed to pay. Then I disconnected. Since then, she had been calling me on my mobile.

If such frauds continue, people will be highly reluctant to help in a genuine case. From these many complaints, India Rehab Center seems to be a suspicious NGO. But it is listed in NGO Darpan website (https://ngodarpan.gov.in/index.php/home/statewise_memberspav_ngo/3458/7/13?per_...⇄ It is noteworthy that this so called volunteer asked me to pay through India Rehab Center's website. I wonder, if the concerned organization is not part of these frauds, then how can the money be channeled through their payment gateway?

Even I have got calls from this so called India Rehab Centre. Really notorious people...when u don't agree to donate they start abusing and saying things like something will happen to your family... You are inhumane. They should be banned. I have been a victim once and donated to one of this organization and later realized they are using old cases to get money. Since then I have been getting calls from various similar organizations... They try to emotionally blackmail you. When one gets closed, a new one comes up and they even have made up documents to fool people. Please be aware.
