On 14.9.2014 (Sunday night around 8 PM) I was on the way from Tumkur to Bangalore. After crossing the toll gate from Tumkur, I observed that I could travel only 79 kms (the distance to empty- DTE meter was showing 79 kms) with the diesel I had. I went to Indian Oil petrol pump on the way and told the operator to fill diesel for Rs.200. I asked the bill and he its not working and no hand bill also. After travelling 100 or 150 meters I again checked the DTE meter and still it was showing 79 kms only. The operator has not put even a single drop of fuel. Since it was already night I did not go back and argue with him(anyhow they wont accept it). I dont have proof for filling the fuel there(hence complaining is a waste). They cheat especially on the highways because the chances of customers coming back is less and the surrounding will be empty and scary to argue with them. So please fill the fuel at the stations near by your house. We can do something in such cases. Was this information helpful? |
