With due respect i wish to inform you that i have booked e-ticket through irctc against id #2974346. At the time of journey train cancelled by indian railways due to reason haryana jat reservation. I have call to 139 & irctc phone no.[protected] customer care executive & they told me no need to file tdr against train cancellation . The ticket amount will be refunded automatically in your account with in 5-7 days. But till date not refund credit in my account.Then i called to irctc & 139 . I have already e-mail ([protected]@irctc.Co.In & [protected]@irctc.Co.In) . Today i have contact to irctc & they told me that you have not filed tdr against train cancellation. So your refund has been cancelled & your complaint is closed. This is not my fault, any type of confusion and misunderstanding create through irctc side. So please reopen my case & refund fare against above mentioned pnr: [protected], train no-12716, s/l, doj:21/2/2016, i shall be very thankful for this act. I am also facing same problem due to Haryana Jat Agitation.
My train 12918 [PNR [protected]] was cancelled at source station on date 22/02/16 for scheduled departure date 23/02/16 due to Jat agitation. Cancellation status was displayed in irctc portal and I had cancelled the ticket on 22/02/16 via irctc.
Recently, I checked the refund status and came to know that train was later re-scheduled and my cancellation request was aborted due to irctc portal failure.
I also contacted customer service around 26-28 feb, and was advised to wait since train was cancelled initially.
On 10/03, through email/telephone conversations with irctc, I was informed that refund will not be given since train was re-scheduled and no cancellation request was available in system
To support my arguments, I am attaching train cancellation notification for date 22/02.
I have following questions:
1. Since train was cancelled at any point of time, as per railway rules I should get my refund back automatically.
2. No notification was given regarding rescheduling of train.
I had already gone through inconvenience due to train cancellation on 23/02, I request you to address my complaint with some positive resolution.
