Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — amount deducted, no ticket booked, no refund either

I tried to book a ticket from banaswadi (Bengaluru) to thrissur (Kerala). Amount got deducted from my bank account but ticket wasn't booked. I booked another ticket and it got booked. So i need the refund of 621rs to my account as i had to pay twice the ticket amount for a single ticket.

I had sent a mail to irctc regarding the issue. I got a reply from sneha sharma (Customer care-new delhi), asking me to send the transaction statement. I sent her the e-statement. After that i received no reply from her. Then i sent a mail again asking for the status of my complaint. She replied again saying she needs the scanned copy of my bank account in pdf format. If that's what she needed, she could have replied to my mail containing the e-statement, telling me that she needs a scanned copy of my passbook. She didn't do that. She waited till my next mail which asked for my complaint status. Again a lot of my time was wasted on this. Yet i sent her the copy and i haven't received a reply back from her till this date.

It's been 9 days since i have raised this complaint and nothing has been done. A lot of my time has been wasted on this already because of people like sneha sharma. Government officials have become so irresponsible and careless because they think they can do anything.

If a transaction fails, irctc should have the responsibility to refund the amount without troubling customers this much. And appointing people like this as customer care executives in government offices just adds to the trouble. I did send lots of mails to irctc in these 9 days asking for the status of my complaint and they haven't replied to any, after i sent my bank statement.

I request https://www.consumercomplaints.in to help me get my refund back and to report this lady named sneha sharma for her irresponsible behavior.
