Sir,

Due to the maintenance of the website https://www.irctc.co.in between 11.59 & 5.00 hr on the night of 2/3 August 2016, I couldn't file the TDR four hours before scheduled departure of the train. Since my programme to travel was changed during midnight and I had more than 4 hours time to claim 50% refund by filling TDR but I couldn't do so due to non-operation of the irctc website because of ongoing maintenance. I could file the TDR at 5.00 hr with the available option "Train Late More Than Three Hours and Passenger Not Travelled". I know this reason was not correct and my intention was also not to claim 100% refund (which wasn't possible too) but to file TDR and inform later to the Railway Authority for 50% claim as per refund rule of surrendering ticket up to four hours before scheduled departure of the train. Accordingly, I emailed a request on 04.08.2016 to the Railway Authority for justified 50% refund (emails attached) and expressed similarly on the Twitter of GM. But the Railway Authority (Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds, SE) has repudiated my claim due to reason "Ticket not surrendered up to 4 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train" (email attached).

In this regard, I would like to submit that I could not file the TDR due to non-operation of the irctc website between 11.59 and 5.00 hr on the night of 2/3 August 2016, then how my claim can be repudiated? I request the concerned Railway Authority to kindly check the record of non-operation of website on the said date & time and reconsider my request for justified 50% TDR refund.

      Hi.. am from nungambakma, chennai. every day I am going through thambaram railway station. ther no one toilet for public use. one toilet is available in two wheeler parking. there need to pay 10 rubees.. bt 20 km trsin ticket is 5 rubees right. what we do. we are pay for every service. bt infrastructure is poor. toilet is basic needs. bt shameless people advertise make swatch bharath at this station .

        I did cancelled two tickets on 19th feb 2016. my bank account got closed before that so i provided new bank account (cancelled cheque and bank closure statement) and i was told by customer care executives that i will get refund within 7-10 days but its now more that 5 months and i havnt received a single paisa from irctc. its just a cheating. i mailed them 7 times from then but always they say "have some patience, we have marked your matter to highest priority and it will resolve shortly".
        Nobody is doing anything. one good fashion is tweeting now a days, if you tweet something which is not politically shining, they will just ignore it and if you tweet by appraising them, it will get retweet always.

        Please provide the solution and get my money back to my new bank account whose details i have already provided.

              Hello:

              My accounts bhema30, bhema30185, hrishiutta, deanbs all these four has been suspeneded. The reason they give is i used autofill. I did not use autofill. Each time they suspeneded my account, i informed this but they asked me to create another account. I did so. This time my fourth id has been suspeneded. I'm good in typing fast.

              This irctc has a random software which automatically suspends account if the tickets are booked within a minute or so. The customer care of irctc is even worse. They give the same information again and again that "your account has been suspeneded please create another account using different mobile no."

              If we commit a mistake, ie if we use autofill then we are at fault and we have to do what they say. For the no fault of mine, (If any it would be typing all details fastly) when they suspend, how many mobile no. Do i need to purchase. What kind of consumer service is this. If a citizen cannot type fast and book a ticket.

              They must have different technology to catch the agents and people who use autofill. They can't punish a person who types faster. The next thing i need to do is to video record the way i type and book a ticket to prove them that i have not done any mistake.

              Will this issue be addressed?

                I booked a train ticket through irctc and the pnr no is [protected] with waiting list. Since the wait list ticket is not confirmed the ticket is automatically cancelled and i received sms to my mobile on 21st june 2016 stating that urwl tkt cancelled and an amount of rs1490/- will be refunded to ur account. But till today that amount is not credited to my account. Pl do the needful. With regards v r c chowdary

                    As we were traveling on 14/8/2016 in train no. 19107 .the condition of the coach was very pathetic mosquitoes was flying every where coach was stinking and as by the journey started the water in the got drained so when I moved to search the attendant I found he was sleeping on a passenger's seat which is not allowed and I make him to wake him up he got angry and try to scold and said do what u wanna do I am not going any where so in order to his pathetic and haressed behavior I call the in charge and same thing he repeated as he is the mighty king and disrespect everyone so due to his behavior I resolve him as a theave His name is Bachhar ram Verma 3ac attendant of B2 from M/S MAGNA TECHNO SERVICE 500062. Passenger's birth no. 35 and 40 3rd ac b2. We hope that you will take necessary step as soon as possible.

                      I have tried to booking a railway tatkal ticket in the IRCTC site on 14/8/2015 journey was from Ramanathapuram to Chennai on 15/8/2015 by train no 18714 The amount Rs 438.00 (in newdelhi at irctc 12027)has deducted from my Hdfc A/c No [protected] But there is no ticket show in the list of booked history.                         My ticket fare which they charged was Rs 731 including service charges. And one day before Journey Date, I received a message from them that Train is Cancelled. Now according to their rules mentioned on IRCTC website for Refund if Train is Cancelled, it is clearly written that full amount will be refunded. But what I got was just Rs 685. They deducted the service charges and didn't refunded that. Now my question is, even if I haven't used their services, then what gives them right not to refund service charges?
                        They should refund entire amount as this is clearly seen cheating passengers.
                        They just fetched Rs 45-50 from every customer who booked train tickets from IRCTC portal without even giving any services to them. This makes a huge profit that too without doing anything.
                        They are just cheating passengers and keeping money with them without any purpose.
                        This issue should be sorted out.

                          i was travelling from Mumbai to Delhi with my family. Due to wrong prs announcement i missed my train and suffered a lot while travelling to my destination .

                          Mine 3 tickets amount got struck as tt refused to did anything in that regard. I have filled tdr just after reaching delhi.

                              Dear team, our pnr no. Is-[protected]. For rajdhani express from ahmedabad to delhi. Train was got cancelled. We accordingly filled tdr for the refund on 23 feb, 2016, but now it is almost 06 months and this refund is not yet credited back in our account. While chasing up irctc through calls and mails, they have only 01 reply that refund is under process under the management of north railway and it will be refunded shortly. I want to know how much time it will take more and when can i expect this refund. It is looking like there was our mistake if train got cancelled and now we have to face the punishment of this.                                 I found tatkal status of 12017 (Dehradun Shtbdi) as REGRET/CKWL1 on 13 Aug 2016 at 08:45 AM for 14 Aug booking from Meerut (MTC) to Haridwar (HW). While booking should start at 10 AM, how it can show waiting?

                                It should have shown available no of tickets without 'Book Now' tab.

                                      I had booked a ticket from BRC to KUH journey date 5 jul 2016, but the train got late for more than 5 hours (schedule departure at BRC was 5:12 am). I had filed the TDR on the same day at 05 July-2016 9:13 hrs. The status of TDR showing CR repudiate. I was waiting for the train but the train got late so much, so I have filed the TDR before actual arrival of train at BRC (train was late morethan 5 years, please check the at the BRC station). Please help me on this matter. As per rule total amount of ticket should be refunded if the train gets late/delayed more than 3 hours.                                         This is with reference to TDR filed against PNR Number [protected] with reason Train Late More Than Three Hours and Passenger Not Travelled.

                                        This TDR refund has been rejected saying that "AS PER CHART, PASSENGER HAS TRAVELLED".

                                        My father Mr. Vinod Kumar Khiste did not travel and it can be proved easily as he travelled next day by air. The sceenshot of his flight ticket is attached. He travlled on this flight and it can be verified from spicejet directly. Now, it is impossible that he can be on this flight as well as Kv express.

                                        This is the result of sheer corruption in railways. I am TTE must have taken money and passed on the seat to someone without actually paying a penny to railways.

                                        I would appreciate if you process this request, I am ready to cooperate and provide any details required from my side.
