I had booked two tickets on train no. 22482 for 14.06.2017 from delhi to jodhpur. The scheduled departure was 23:15. First it got delayed by 1 hour 15 minutes. At 12:40 there was an announcement that this train will leave by 2:30 am. Since we were two girls, we decided to ask the station master if there is any chance we can get our refund for the tickets as we can't wait till 2:30 am at night in delhi at a railway station that is fairly less crowded at night. The station master told us if the train is delayed by 3 hours refund is given but since it was booked online through irctc we have to cancel it online only and file tdr. Just to have a proof of the delay i got it in writing from the station master that the train will leave at 2:30 am. At 1:00 am in the night, the irctc website was down, so i filed the tdr in the morning. The result: repudiated, reason: null. I don't understand this, if the refund rules provide that refund is given in case the delay is more than 3 hours and i did tick mark the same option. Still the reason says null? I have written numerous emails to irctc about the same, attaching the stamped document by the station master, yet there is no response. Tdr must be filed before actual departure of train from respective station.
