Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation [IRCTC] — Regarding incorrect name entered because of auto correction of mobile phone while booking tatkal ticket | |||||
I booked the ticket for my elder brother (Shir Brajesh Kumar Singh) on 27/03/2017 in tatkal quota for train no.12059(PNR [protected]). But because of auto correction error it changed to Rakesh Kumar Singh. Other details like age and mobile no. was correct. The person travelling on train was carrying the same mobile on which IRCTC send the booking confirmation sms. The ticket was booked in tatkal quota thatsway we didn't cancel and re-booked another ticket since cancellation of tatkal ticket would not refund money. Detail explanation was given to Sri Maharaj Singh(TT) and ID proof of mine as well as Brajesh kumar singh was shown to him for proving that we are brother. It was unintentional mistake happened because of auto correction of mobile phone. Sri Maharaj Singh didn't cooperate and he penalized Sri Brajesh Kumar Singh. I do have copy of penalty charged by Sri Maharaj Singh. If such mistake happens in future how to avoid penalty. I complaint to Indian Railways (Complaint No. : W/WC/KOTA/[protected] but they have replied matter pertains to IRCTC. We paid double fare for single ticket including fine and tatkal charges.
