sir i had booked an e ticket for my brother for 08 sept 2011. his pnr no is [protected]. he is trevalling with hs ticket and id proof but beside that the TT had charged him afine of Rs 510 and its recipt no is 346470. sir i wantr to know that for what reasone he was charged and please refund my money as soon as possible. i will be ever grate full to u for this act of kindness.

Sir,
we had purchased an e-ticket under Tatkal Scheme. My mother in law and a cousin were travelling in 2945 Tapti Ganga Express on 28.7.10.The PNR is [protected]. During the journey the TTI insisted for Indentity proof, which the passangers did not have. The rules for the Tatkal Scheme states that 'No Identity proof is required to be produced neither at the time of booking nor during the journey." Photocopies of the same were produced to the TTI. However the TTI did not listen, misbehaved and threatened. We had to pay Rs. 1620 as excess fare ticket charges amounting to Rs. 1620.00 vide receipt No. C813249 dt 29.7.10.
Kindly take necessary actions against the TTI and help us get the refund.

Indian Railways — excess booking of tickets

Dear sir ,

I am regular passenger of indian railway . and it is true that i have always paid my traveling fair . Its so glad to inform you that railway department do no provide any safe secure journey to any of its passenger ,Because the railway is regularly selling the tickets of general buggies more the sitting capacity , it always seems that there were about to 1000 of passenger in one bugie .


so i request the indian railway to take steps against which would be convenient for the passengers
i had booked a railway ticket for my brother from Barielly to ferozepur through internet . HE is having his I-d proof with him during his entire journey and the print out of that E-ticket. but beside having both the thinks the TT had made a fine of Rs 510. so it is requested to u to please explane me for what we have to pay that fine n please refund my money as soon as possible . my pnr no is [protected] and the chalan recipt no is 346470.

    This is a kind request for the railways to have regular checks in the ladies first class compartment as many 2nd class passengers get into this compartment and occupy the seats especially for virar trains or are standing at the door.

    Secondly it becomes very difficult in the mornings to get into 1st class compartment especially 6.44(at vasai) in virar -churchgate train as there are many 2nd class college students who get down at vasai using both sides of the door and not letting the passengers to get in . we actually have to pull them out .

    Thirdly there are hawkers selling out things and sometimes 4 to 5 get in at one time and block the whole compartment.As it is the ladies first class is too conjested and nowadays with the increased crowd of students with their huge bags it becomes very inconvenient and sometimes they block the doors making it very difficult for the seniors to get out of the train.
    Even cleanliness has to be maintained .

    one more suggestion if the Vasai - Dadar local could be extended up to Churchgate or at least halt it at Bandra because the Churchgate passengers who have to change at Dadar becomes difficult to get out of the crowd. As the frequency for the Churchgate trains is bad , atleast for the rest of the crowd there is a option of taking Bandra, Andheri or Borivali trains .

    I would be glad if you look into this matters.

    Student — increase compartment in general

    iam a college student i risky to travel,
    travelling in geral compartement very risky, there is only 4 boggies,
    now peoples choosed train to travel better than bus,

      I have booked train ticket for my wife and me from Vijayawada to Vaikom road (Kerala) for journey on 6.9.11in Kerala express from New Delhi in AC 2 tier.My wife was allotted berth no.45 on confirmation (Waiting list3) the worst berth in 2nd AC and she had to travel alone.My berth was not confirmed as per IRCTC initially . In the train it was told by TTE that my ticket was also confirmed &I was allotted berth no.19.Since I could not cancel my ticket this berth should have been allotted to my wife who was to sit in a II AC compartment (Old and ugly).The TTE it seems had sold the berth no.19 to somebody of his choice.My wife repeatedly reqested for change of berth and TTE refused to give it to her.
      Thejourney in Kerala express is hopeless even in AC compartments.The bogies are oldest and ugly.Ladies should be allotted safe seats instead of berth no. 45which is disturbed and unsafe.
      TTE may be asked to provide priority to the Ladies and old people to change to the berths if the fellow passenger is cancelling the ticket at the last minute .

          I Deepesh Kumar Vishwakarma booked my luggage on dated[protected] vide bilty Number LT-152061 (One Bajaj Motor Cycle and House hold luggage Total -11 Nos) from Bhopal (M.P) to Katpadi (T.N) through train. I received my 10 Nos of Luggage, but till date I could not received my another one luggage .

          I continuously contact the concern authority and detail of the same is under:-
          10 Nos (Received) – Motor Cycle + Bed (1 side) + Bed (2 Side) + Ply + One Cartoon + Chair +
          Bed Support + Cooler + Freeze + 1 Big Cartoon (Gunny Bag)
          1 Nos (Pending) –1 Small Cartoon
          1. Luggage unloaded at Katpadi (7 Nos) in 10.05.2011 (Received)
          2. loaded 3 Nos Cartoon by Train No. 6094 from Bhopal to Chennai on 20.05.2011. (Received).
          3. 1 Nos of Cartoon (Gunny Bag) (Not Received)
          The builty given by Bhopal Railway Office against my luggage I have given to Katpadi Railway Station (Parcel Office) when I got my 7 Nos parcel. And they given me Parcel Delivery Certificate for rest of 4 Nos, and again I got another 3 Nos of Parcel.
          1 Nos is still missing.
          Please understand my problem.
          Kindly look in to the matter & do the needful to enable me to get luggage at the earliest and without any further delay. I would very much thankful for your kind co-operation

              I am really frustrated with the service provided by the station master @ Nallasopara. They are not sure that on which platform train is coming. First they are announcing train will come on platform no. 2 but indicator showing platform no. 4. After some time they announce train will come on platform no. 4. When we reach to platform no. 4 then surprisingly train come on platform no.2

              My Question is why they are giving inconvenience to passenger, i cross the track then i am able to caught train. It's rainy season, if something went wrong due to too and fro then who will take the responsibility for the same.


              Why they are not sure that train will come to which platform. I believe they have information well in advance on which platform train will come.


              Also, indicator are not proper. Where we have to complaints for the same. we are paying money, then also service is very very very poor.

              May i all of you request you, please forward this complaints to higher authority so they can take strict action on them
              this is happening daily...

                  when I got in to the train at Gulbarga at 22.30 hrs, I found the beddings supplied to me was dirty, not even washed and just pressed (ironed only). took up this matter to TTE on duty. he has sent the coach attender. the attender replaced bedding murmuring something. that was also of same condition. I could not use it at all. at 23.00 hrs night, I do not know what to do. I've travelled with dirty bedding for 36 hrs. kindly advise me what to do? as general human tendency, my co passengers were accepted the dirty beds without raising objection.

                    i send a bike from bhubaneswar to bolangir. bhubaneswar has despathed the bike but bolangir has not unload that. they beg rs.500 as bribe. when i refused they didnot give my delivery. when i asked to the parcel incharge of bolangir stn. he told me '"i will never unload ur bike, what ever u want to do just do", in this case a common people what can do, i m requesting to the railway system kindly dont behave or give mental harashment to the public. this limit of corruption, this is not possible for a common people to bribe every one of rs.500. and request to common people dont glorify to bribe at any sector.
                    This is my hearty request to railway dept kindly dont give mental harashment to the passenger and dont glorify to bribe. because it give bad impression among the public. dont do like this any others. and give focus on this matter and clean the railway system from this kind of virus.

                      I have booked My tickets from Ludhiana to Pune through Internet And than canceled them on 17-August-2011 by internet. For this i used the service of make my trip agent.First of all my query is that while booking our money deducted within few second than why its not refunded immediately.What is reason of gap of 7 working days.This is useless hrashness to customer.Secondly even after 10 days we haven't got our money back whenever we call customer care of make my trip they ask to wait for 72 hrs.Please take some action in this regard

                      Indian Railways — Delay in Service

                      I boarded the Patna Rajdhani(Train # 2310) on 23rd jan 09 at 5:10 pm and was supposed to reach the Destination station (Rajender Nagar) the next morning by 6:00 am. However the train met with some “PowerCor” (part of train) problem midway and was stopped in an unknown location for close to 2 hrs. During this entire outage, there was just a single announcement made while the electricity was about to be taken off. Except for that, there weren’t any proper announcements made of the “Nature of the Problem” nor any ETA given.

                      We hoped that the delay caused will be covered and the authorities will try making the passengers meet their destination on right time but all in vain. The train got delayed by COMPLETE 2 HRS. But what was more pathetic and disgusting was that after reaching Patna Station at 8:00 am on 24th Morning, the train was halted and didn’t move for about 15-20 mins. Again there was no announcement made of the delay being caused. All the passengers on board waiting to get down at Rajendra Nagar were hopelessly waiting for the train to move. Almost 45 hrs passed and no progress at all. Ultimately I had to get down enquiring people on platform and from one of the attendants on the train I got to know that “there was no guarantee of train moving”…..It might take half an hr more, maybe an hour…maybe 4 hrs. Quite naturally, as there was no proper announcement made either inside the train Or on the platform, everyone was making their wild guesses, but the fact remained the same that the train wasn’t moving an inch ahead.

                      After getting completely frustrated and endlessly waiting, I got down to catch an auto and reached my destination. But My Question is, Why was I made to wait for 1 hr almost to reach my destination when it would have taken just 15 mins had the train moved ON TIME?

                      My sorrow didn’t end here….I boarded the return train, the Same Patna Rajdhani (Train # 2309) on 27th Jan 09 evening. Again the same story, the train was supposed to start sharp at 7:00 pm, but I wasted complete 1 hour sitting like a fool in train and just waiting for the train to move with no clue as to why it was standing on the same station. Again no announcement. Finally the train moved (delayed by 1 hour) and I again hoped that the train will cope up the delay to make the passengers reach on time next day i.e. by 8:00 am BUT the train dropped us at the New Delhi station at around 10:00 am. (Close to 2 hours delay). What was more annoying was that inspite of the delay that had occurred, the train was stopping on each and every single misc stations adding to the delay.

                      Overall my journey (both to and fro) was really upsetting and frustrating due to the 4-5 hours total delay caused.

                      I have the following questions to ask to the authorities:

                      1)Are the speakers attached on train only used to play music for the passengers? Should they not be used during crisis/emergency to keep them notified/updated?
                      2)Why do we pay so heavily for travelling in Rajdhani when we get the treatment of local train?
                      3)Who is to be held responsible for loss of time of the passengers?
                      4)During all this delay caused, the train authorities didn’t even bother to provide proper meal to the passengers. The train which was supposed to reach by 8:00 am, passengers were given mere 2 biscuits and Tea/Coffee but they actually reached the station by 10:00 am starving from hunger. Are the authorities not sensible enough to make alternate food arrangements for the passengers for the delay caused by them?

                      Can the responsible authorities reading this mail, provide an appropriate response ASAP?

                        On 24-08-11 I was traveling with my Wife from Trichur to Goa in Train Number 16346 Natravathi Express in AC 3 Tier compartment B2 seat number 10 &11.From Trichur we found that the full B2 compartment was fully infected by cockroaches and it was running fully here and their.Every person traveling In that compartment was very unconformable and helpless because when it was brought into the notice of concern TTR in the compartment he said he is help less.He even suggested that only thing we can do is report a complaint to the station master in Goa.But he was very sure that its not going to change any thing.This is very disgusting from railways side because the garbage disposal and the pest control was very inefficient.in the same time in that compartment there were some Foreign tourist .Think about the impression that foreign Tourist would have got about India.This will give a full picture to the tourist coming to india that India is totally Unhygienic and risky place to travel because its totally infected with cockroaches and rats. Indian railway had totally proved that they are totally inefficient in standards of hygiene and cleanliness.I know that just filing this complaint here is not going to make any change and the responsible people of railway will not even bother.But just want to remind those irresponsible people that they just don't know what we are loosing.

                          I booked a Waiting list(WL) ticket from Kharagpur to Hyderbad.I lost the tickets two days before the journey. As part of process I was asked to do an FIR to the GRPF which i did and then get a duplicate ticket issued from the counter. But in the ticket counter I was told that duplicate ticket cannot be issued for WL ticket. If my tickets get confirmend Or RAC before the chart is out I will be issued the duplicate tickets else I have to forgo all the money.The system will not allow to even cancell the tickets.To my bad luck my tickets got confirmed when the chart was out and not before that ,then in the the ticket counter I was told since the chart is already out they cannot give the print of duplicate ticket. All this sounded ill logic to me. The station master says that since you do not hold hard copy ticket in hand , even though in the chart your ticket reflects as confirmed you still need to pay full amount again.

                          All this sounded completely i'll logic to me. I was completely harrased by the total system and its share holders as i went running around , wasting my time and money. Everyone had different versions to tell with half or no knowledge.And finally I had to fight with TT , bribe and travel as it was an unavoidable journey.

                            I am Himanshu working with Siemens Technologies,Gurgaon.I had a train from faizabad to delhi yesterday.
                            The name of train Farkka Express(13483). My PNR no was [protected]. The time of departure of train was 03:50 PM,but it was 8 hours late and came at 12:00 PM.I reached today 05:30 PM. It is 13 hours late. I missed an important meeting today in my office. It will be always a great shame for indian railway.I want to ask them that how do they wish to pay my disaster.

                              Charging fine for carrying TV

                              Dear Sir,
                              I carried a small 32" LCD TV(94cm x 20cm x57.5cm) from Kozhikode to Ernakulam South Station in Train number 16308 dated 15 August 2011 . whether it requires any booking for carrying such a small TV of 12.4 Kg? Railway charged 300 Rs as fine for the same([protected] AF 142901 Jibi Mol Sr. TE Ekm). i believe it is my legal right to carry a small tv with me.

                              She charged in the name of excess baggage(40 Kg),...

                              Respected Sir,
                              My Name is Pemmaiah M.U...recently i had been for a Army Interview in Bhopal..After the Interview me & my 2 friends boarded the Lucknow Pune Express on 07/08/2011 at 04:30pm...As we reached Bhopal station at 4:15pm & as the train had already left Lucknow we couldnt buy a reserved Ticket so we bought a Unreserved ticket for 2 members till pune as the other too bought a unreserved ticket to ahmednagar...while we were boarding the TTR with some of his companions came to us & asked the ticket,we told our problem but that Idiotic TTR fined us 790 bucks for 2 guys as fine..we paid it as the voucher had been done...the same thing repeated to me while i boarded Udyan Express on 08/08/2011 from Pune at 12pm...this time he fined me 430 Bucks..already i had taken a Unreserved ticket as the train had left from Mumbai...This is what the TTR does...he is fining the travellers heavily..Please do something about it if not the TTR will have to be thrown out from the train..This is for sure which i ll be doing or else i ll [censored] him badly to the core of his life that he will never forget me....

                                I have booked a train ticket Dindigul(dg) to chennai(ms) Tamil Nadu travel date 15.12.2010 unable i cant travel the train so i have apply for refund the money .i am file TDR . i have already mailed many time they are say it will take 3 to 6 months but now nearly one year no action what i do that case how to file the complaint in consumer court please give me guide line.

                                I have booked train tickets from Nagercoil to Tambaram in the following trains.

                                Yesterday I have travelled in Kanyakumari Express only. When I Try to cancell the Anatapuri Express ticket yesterday, the IRCTC site unable to open. Today also thro' TDR claim from my IRCTC user ID unable to cancell, since the above Anantapuri PNR is not appearing. Kindly arrange to cancell the same and refund the amount.

                                the train was canceled due to some reason bt my money was not refunded to my account.Then i filed a TDR to IRCTC on against of it and they tell me to wail for 30 to 90 days.the details of TDR is given below :-

                                Now m really tired of doing this,so its my kindly request to you to pls help me.

                                  i with my husband was travelling in Ashram Express for delhi to ajmer . we have got reservation done but i was a very bad expereice that there was no difference in general coach and reservation coach .passengers were full in reservation coach also, ias suprised when TT come and did not say anything to those people .when i ask why these people are there i was told that r they sitting on ur seat... it seems that TT has taken bribe from these people . i was feeling that i have wasted my money getting reservation as it is simillar to general coach and i really realised that corruption is increasing like anything . i would request higher authorities to have a check on this .

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

                                    This compliant is with reference to Cancellation charges on the E-ticket cancelled automatically after chart preparation by IRCTC for the Waiting List category of E-tickets.

                                    When a consumer's E-Ticket booked in IRCTC for a travel in a scheduled train is happened to be on waiting list category at the time of booking and if it status is 'Waiting List' at the time of chart preparation, the E-ticket will get cancelled automatically.

                                    At present, IRCTC deducts Rs.40/- as Cancellation charges on the E-ticket cancelled automatically after chart preparation instead of Rs.20/- (i.e. clerkage charge).

                                    By this way, IRCTC is simply making money against the Refund rules. This must be addressed soon.
