[Resolved] Indigo Airlines — hidden charges and fake quotes on phone | |||
This is keyur parmar from usa. I feel cheated twice by indigo. During modification of travel itinerary, indigo executives said it was 5000 inr but when i went for actual payment at indigo counter, it was 25000 inr. The same thing happened when i was traveling internationally. During the phone conversation it was given information that i will not be charged for extra baggage as i have international flight catch up within 24 hours of my indigo flight but when i boarded the local flight they charged me 12000 inr for extra baggage allowance For more details you can reach out to me keyur. Would like to share some more on my discussion with Indigo representative in Baroda.
She was expecting a child and it was in morning around 6 am (thought of her shift is about change). I was not feeling comfortable requesting/arguing with her about my situation and discussion happened with Indigo's phone representative, especially looking at her situation.
She tried to pull the logs from her account but was limited only about my discussion with phone agent. ( I was helpless as i didnt recorded my conversation in phone and agent didnt wrote correct information exchanges)
Being a human, i respected her situation and paid 12K as extra baggage allowance.
The pregnant lady representative felt that it was unfair and suggested me to do complaint on Indigo website.
I was not happy at all and almost lost hope, thought that there might be one complain added in millions of complaint with useless efforts.
She requested another agent to help to log complaint, we tried multiple times but that was not even going through and the portal keeps on routing me to the chat agent.
My flight boarding time was clicked and i left. Lately i reached to USA and thought of making consumer complaints to voice out.
I was very happy with Indigo during[protected], i might have cached more than 300 flights in 3 years of India trips and majority with Indigo, but this time it didnt well.
Even for the 1st local trip with Indigo after reaching to India wasn't great. I flew 22 hours all the way from USA and Dubai and reached to Mumbai with 2 kids and spouse, local Indigo flight from Mumbai to Baroda was painful. They gave me all the four seats in different locations, Without thinking... Not sure how my 3 year old kid can manage alone for take off and landing.
I blamed myself and took a risk during take off and landing with my kid on my lap (Against the aviation law) but was not having any choice.
I am writing this not to gain anything but to have optimistic approach and to help the flyers .
