Dear Sir,
I have the honour to bring to your kind attention an untoward and unexpected incident that occurred at Bengaluru air Port on 28 th Oct 2022 with the Indigo counter staff. The incident has caused immense inconvenience and loss to me apart from the personal insult from the Indigo staff.
At the outset, I would suggest you to consider imparting appropriate training to the staff as how to behave with the passengers and also as how to ensure passenger friendly approach with the
passengers, international passengers in particular. The frontline counter staff are the face of the carriers. If they are found to be erratic, arrogant, pugnacious and not suitably trained to handle the passengers it is quite natural that this would adversely affect the performance since the passengers will not choose the carrier for their trip.
Am an NRI entrepreneur for the last 33 years based in Dubai and travels frequently. I am senior citizen too. I had chosen the Indigo for a recent trip from Bengaluru to Dubai on 28 Oct 22 – Flt# 6E-95, CSR PNR#OLQQWF .
At the check-in counter one of the Indigo staff who was holding the passenger list took my passport and ticket copy and immediately came back and told me that I am holding a tampered passport and
marked the same in the passenger list and refused to check-in. I had then observed that the outer cover of the passport in his hand was about to be detached (may be due to frequent use or climatic affect). His choice of words and tone of the voice and body language was totally unbecoming for a customer counter staff. My efforts to make him convince the youngster, who claimed to have been the in charge, failed. He asked me to go back and get a new passport( he doesn't have an understanding of International travelling procedures with a new passport not having Visa in it ) When I told him "getting out of Dubai Airt Port scanning our residence visa and our eyes through the smart gate" the person in charge was making a joke comment on Dubai and was telling me to tear the Visa Page of Dubai and go to Dubai leaving the passport with him. ( On what right he has or Indigo to instruct me with such nasty comments. He said he won’t allow me to fly in Indigo with the passport in question. I was at the counter at 5.00 am and the conversation prolonged until 6.30 am and finally I asked them to consider my ticket to be cancelled and the Incharge told me that it cannot be done as it is now less than two hours prior flight and unable to refund claim eligibility with a sarcastic smile. My request to escort or allow me to the Immigration Officer on duty also went unheeded. In fact, I missed the trip just because of the Indigo Banglore Air Port staff /Manager Counter in charge . Since our Passport is a book with binded cover and its cover bind can be loosend or detach due to prolong use and we do not know when it will loosend from its binding .
I had left the air port and had to fly with Emirates as advised by my travel agent ab-initio on the same evening flight . I had to cancel two of my meetings in Dubai that were pre-scheduled with overseas clients, check-in one of the apartments as paying guest.
The predicament that I faced because of the no show for the pre-fixed meeting with the overseas clients, the business opportunity that I lost because of the same is huge. I hold Indigo responsible for the same and seek suitable compensation for my loss. Indigo Airline staffs should know the meaning of Tampering and and an unexpected detachment of a book front cover from its binding. I wholeheartedly look forward to receiving your support to get suitable compensation from the Indigo Airlines.

    They message in the whats app that your resume has selected for job in indigo airlines and conducted in the telephone interview... After interview they asked me send 2000 for online test, next again conducted some online test and asked to send 6799 for documents verification.They said you have selected in the interview and now have go through the medical test and international account opening for those you need to pay 15799 then you can go to those process they said.. again 28699 for training...they took 53297/- they didn't gave the job and returned the money back...

      Hi in my journey from Jaipur to Bengaluru on flight 6E 839, starting at 5:15 AM.
      When I collected my luggage from belt, I observed I had received a broken baggage, the lock was broken. and one zip missing. even if the lock was broken by wear and tear, the zip would have stayed intact.
      I received the baggage with zip all the way over to the opposite side of the where the lock is present.
      My trust to the company to take care of the luggage has deeply been affected, as I never expected it to be in that condition.
      Not sure who all went through the items inside my bag without my permission or presence. Ever since the lock has been broken there is a safety issue of my baggage items anywhere I travel and causes a lot of inconvenience.
      I seek compensation of the damage of the bag, and opening of the bag without permission/presence as well as for my unplaced trust caused by this particular incident.
      Right after the flight I walked upto the counter, the employee there took pictures of the same, and told me he will file a complain for me. But no follow up has been observed by me so far.

          HI,
          I have travelled along with my family,
          from Bangalore to Goa on 16th 2022. PNR MSI8RN, when I received my luggage on belt at Goa Airport, I found the handle of the luggage was broken, on which I complained to the Indigo Staff who offered me compensation and for which she asked for my Boarding pass, and handed over to her. However, she did not return the Boarding pass and it was late in the night and my baby was not feeling well, so we were in hurry to reach home.
          later on the next day, I called her and asked for a boarding pass and she informed me that it has been destroyed.
          Now I need to submit the boarding pass to my company and I have nothing to provide.
          Kindly provide the copy of the boarding pass or travel certificate so that I can prove that I have travelled from BLR to GOI.

            The airhostess did not close the lid of the hotwater cup properly and I got second degree burn on my abdomen has now left a scar.
            I sat in the airline - they had no ice only coke cans and juice packets to put on me. I visited the clinic at the maa airport and had it dressed with silver nitrate cream. This was very painful for a mistake on your flight. I wish to have atleast a reimbursment on this journey - I swore not to fly Indigo ever again. The check in counter lady was rude, I am a teacher need to carry books, she charged me additional 1000 rupees.

            I am dissapointed that no one followed up on my complaint and I am now writing to you here.

              I would like to draw your attention regarding my trip from Bangalore to Srinagar (PNR: JVF1TR) and Srinagar to Bangalore.
              My luggage was missed by your airline and was being harassed by indigo airline.

              I reached Srinagar on 24th Sept 2022 by 6E-917, Bag with Tag Number: 64938 was missing at Srinagar Airport.

              I raised the complain to your Indigo airline counter at Srinagar Airport, they said Bag will come to Srinagar Airport tomorrow (25th Sept 2022).
              I called them again at Srinagar Airport on 25th Sept 2022, but missing bag has not reached to Srinagar Airport.
              And they said, it will come tomorrow (26th Sept 2022) again but it has not reached to Srinagar Airport.


              All my dress/winter clothes were packed into this bag.
              As Indigo Airline failed to deliver/sent my bag at my destination Srinagar, though I requested them number of times.

              How one can survive without dress/winter clothes in Srinagar?

              Therefore, I had to cancel my trip mid-way and re-schedule (prepone) my return to Bangalore by paying unnecessary extra reschedule charges to Indigo airline.

              Because of your this kind of harassment, i was forced to cancel my trip as a result total trip cost has been wasted.

              Therefore, i request you to look into this matter seriously and Indigo airline must arrange for full monetary (Total Airline ticket cost) compensation.

                On October 14 2022 One person contacted named nitin sethi through +[protected] this phone number. He said He's from indigo, you applied for ground staff department ( I applied numerous job through the last 3 months because I don't have job) and they are looking for employee in ground staff department and for that interview process to start I have to pay 2000rs and I paid and one person said he's the HR of indigo and he interviewed me through phone call +[protected].
                He said tomorrow you will receive the visiting I'd and I received through [protected]@airportsauthority.com on 15.10.2022 there for confirmation of my job I have to pay 5900rs and I paid

                On 16.10.2022 a bond copy receives there they said I have to pay 15810rs and I paid by borrowing from neighbor, he said tomorrow you have visit, you will get cab which provide by our company and the next day nothing came I waited for a long time
                On 17.10.2022 that day one mail came there they asked 11500rs and I paid for joining process and after one hour one lady called +[protected] through this number and asked for job confirmation you need pay again 11500rs and after they didn't responded for one day.

                On 18.10.2022 again they asked for tools security 14786rs and by borrowing loan through my mom's jewels I paid, he said that the next day you will receive laptop and Id card through courier we already started that process and nothing came in 19.10.2022
                I asked on 20.10.2022 he said check your mailbox and I checked, There they send an file no due form for that no due I have to pay 8200rs and I paid, after 2 hours he called and said you didn't mentioned about no due in that payment so you have to repay that amount by mentioning no due
                I don't have money like I said and he responded like I'm in a meeting you have to pay or I'll reject your application I'm in a meeting don't text me again and again and don't disturb me. He sent a photo like he was a meeting but that photo was taken before 4 months and posted by nitin sethi who is a Chief digital officer in Adani group and he posted that in his linkedin page that I got a doubt and I asked he's not properly responded to that message and after sometimes he's again asking for money and I asked about the joining date and he said coming Saturday but I think he's a fraudulent service and asked some questions after that he's not responding.

                So please help me to get my money back. Please

                  My family (wife + 2 Children) travelled on dated-18.10.2022 by indigo airline flights. They have flight from AMD-DL-DMM, they booked luggage at ahmedabad airport (terminal-1). Once they reached and received luggage at Dammam (KSA) airport, all three baggage are badly damaged.

                    I have booked a flight ticket through Indigo website, the first payment failed buy the amount got debited from me. Second time, I booked ticket and the payment was successful. IndiGo assured me that debited amount will be refunded but it has been 2 months and still they haven't refunded.

                    I raised a chargeback/dispute from my bank and IndiGo acknowledge that they received excess amount and gave go ahead for chargeback, but then this chargeback was rejected.

                    Customer support is not helping at all, they are giving standard reply that they can't help when a chargeback/dispute is raised.

                      After travelling from Indore to Hyderabad to Rajiv Gandhi International airport, I forgot to claim my baggage from the belt. I flew with IndiGo flight 6E511. The Bag was black coloured with US polo written on it. inside the bag there was one new blazer of black color with same colored trousers (blackberry) and shirts of sky blue colour (blackberry) and and oth r one light green (pista)coloured with black coloured lines print on it (cien), round neck white plain T shirt(jockey), navy blue colored jeans, dnmx army joggers. It was a luggage bag with wheels. A sincere Plea to contact me at the earliest.

                          This happen yesterday at 1800 hrs (15/10/2022) to my wife who traveled first time to abroad. (Bangalore to Singapore by Indigo airline) She was holding valid Entry Visa to Singapore. It was a entry visa to Singapore which was valid till 7th Dec 2022. Unfortunately staff at front desk and duty supervisor at counter made a unnecessary issue saying your return ticket is on 11 December 2022 and Visa valid is till 7th Dec. Actually it was entry visa with multiple journey.
                          They hold her from issuing boarding pass and ask to reschedule the return ticket before 7th Dec. Giving unnecessary panic and trouble.

                          It was clearly lack of knowledge from staff on visa guidelines. Due to this my wife had to suffer tough time at Bangalore airport.
                          Staff clearly lack the understanding of entry visa and stay visa.

                          Please educate and train them to avoid such misguiding and trouble to other passengers in future. (INDIGO FRONT DESK STAFF).

                            I was preset at the baggage counter 1.5 hours prior, still they didn't let me attend my flight, despite having a boarding pass. I need a refund for the same. I had to book another flight at a higher price again.

                              Hi, my name is Diya.
                              My mother, Mrs. Piyali Basu Kar flew this morning from Kolkata to Coimbatore with layover in Chennai on flights:

                              She was shocked to receive a violently mishandled, thoroughly damaged suitcase on arrival in Coimbatore.

                              She even contacted the airlines customer care on the phone. Their response was unprofessional in its blatant denial of any responsibility on the part of the airlines. It is a serious matter because as frequent flyers we place a lot of trust on the airlines with safety and security of our belongings as much as our safety.

                              The damaged suitcase is a Carlton Maroon suitcase. The pictures of the damaged luggage is attached for your reference.
                              I hope the Airlines owns up to their mishandling of the baggage and does right by the customer is issuing adequate compensation for their error.

                                I got a call in which they said I had been selected for ticketing executive at guwahati airpot and for which I had to pay them RS— 2000 and after paying this i recieved a insurance letter and for which I had to pay another 7500 and after paying that they will gave me the job appointment letter and I'd i already payed him 7500 and i have to pay remaining 2000 should I pay him or not ??
                                What should I do

                                  I cancelled my flight tickets ( which were refundable ) back in July. As soon as I did, the refund track on indigo’s website said “refund processed and is pending worth bank. Will take 5-7 working days”. It has been 3 months and I still have not received my refund. The bank says nothing came in. It’s a huge sum of 17000 that indigo owes me

                                    I rahul morya an indigo airpline passanger travelling from goa to indore faced worst situations while travelling with indigo flight. First of all i was at the airport for check in all the servers were down and all the passangers were facing trouble a lot of trouble yesterday on 12th october 2022. My flight was about to depart at 14.55 pm and i was in waiting for the check ins and boarding passes with my friends in the cue till 2.30 pm and they were not at all cooperating plus i was asked to run and rush to airline for boarding after the check ins and security check and they asked me to be there in 5-10 minutes which was not at all possible for me and my friends.
                                    Second of all i did not book a meal on prior basis and i wanted to purchase the meal on board but it was my worst experience ever on indigo or any airplane because they did not had any veg food options and they wanted to sell cookies amd chips to us rather than giving us the meal food we asked for. Air hostess paridhi was so so slow in serving the meals that they came to us 10-15 mins prior the landing and that to not having any type of veg food options this was the worst thing i have ever experienced that veg food was not available in domestic flight's. I am looking forward to avoid travel with indigo because this is not the way an airline treats and greet fellow passangers and i wish other people do not suffer like i did while travelling. #indigonotmychoice

                                      Mental Harassment, Misbehave by Indigo Shift In-charge & his sub-ordinate and Financial Loss due to Unilateral flight change by Indigo

                                      I, VIJAI SINGH, booked two air tickets (for Myself and My Wife) on 2nd October’2022 from Delhi To Guwahati by Indigo Flight No. 6E-2332 for 11th October’2022 through ‘Ease My Trip’ site. The tickets details are as under:
                                      1. Passenger Name: VIJAI SINGH, PNR/ Booking Ref.: PLYQ2S, Flight No. 6E-2332, Terminal T2, For 11th Oct’2022, Departs- 17.35 Hrs
                                      2. Passenger Name: ARCHANA SINGH, PNR/ Booking Ref.: HN5B2Z, Flight No. 6E-2332, Terminal T2, For 11th Oct’2022, Departs- 17.35 Hrs
                                      Status of both the tickets was CONFIRMED.
                                      I did Web Check-in for both the tickets also on 11th Oct’2022 at around 13.00 Hrs and the web Check-In was successful but no boarding pass was issued that time rather message came that Boarding Pass will be sent to your mail before three hours of the departure of the flight. I reached Airport Terminal T2 from Noida at around 16.00 Hrs and tried for taking print out of the Boarding Pass with the help of Indigo Assistant at Kiosk. But he also could not take out the print of Boarding pass and he advised us to contact Indigo Check-In counter. Then we reached to a counter through queue by that time it was around 16.20 Hrs. The Counter staff, Mr. Rahul checked the status and told us that we have not been allotted any seats. I was really shocked. Then he called Mr. Nikhil Sharma, Shift In-Charge during that shift. Mr. Sharma understood the matter and asked us to wait. He told that still flight has not landed and he is talking to the concerned.
                                      In the meanwhile, another person Mr. Vikram, Dy. Manager of Indigo also came there and started convincing me that there is no seat in this plane and we are working on some alternative. Then I really got upset and said that I have to go with my booked flight only because I have booked this flight 10 days before seeing my further programmes. I asked when I have booked 10 days in advance and web checked-in also then where my seats have gone. Then Mr. Vikram told that this flight has been overbooked and hence no seats. Then I asked that I don’t agree for any other alternative and I have to go with this flight as I have to travel further to Guwahati also.
                                      Mr. Vikram told that we have ‘Right to Over Book’ the flight and now it is not possible to take you both in this flight. Then I really got upset and started arguing that how a 10 days pre-booked ticket can be left like that. During argument Mr. Nikhil Sharma was also there and they both threatened us to call CISF to take us from there. This attitude of Mr. Vikram and Mr. Nikhil Sharma really insulted & hurt us and I asked them to really call CISF and send us to Jail. Then other passengers also gathered and asked them how they are behaving like. I asked the contact nos. of seniors, they gave the name that Mr. Manish Jain is the Terminal Manager but we can not give his mobile number. They were repeatedly saying that you can complain anywhere if you want.

                                      Then they arranged two Boarding Passes for Flight No. 6E-889, Delhi to Guwahati from T1, departure time: 20.10 Hrs on 11th Oct’2022 and we came through that flight. Though after that they tried to bribe us through refreshment at T1 but we denied.
                                      Till that yesterday’s incident I used to consider Indigo as one of the Most Trusted Airline in the country but this type o[censored]nilateral and high headed ness approach of the Airline and its senior staff at check-In counters had shook our confidence in the airline. Most of the time, I used to prefer Indigo over other Airlines in parallel.
                                      With the above details about the incident, I wish to submit the following for necessary action by the concerned:
                                      i). Is it fair on Airline’s part that they can leave the passengers who have booked tickets 10 days in advance and there is no control over it and the ground staff is so confident that no action will ne taken against anybody as the airline itself is involved in this type of decisions. Daily a lot of passengers are suffering because of over booking by airlines and dropping the passengers as per airline wish. It needs to be controlled.
                                      ii). As Mr. Vikram told that it is ‘our right to overbook the flight’ but what about the Rights of passengers. Means Passengers have got no Right rather they can be thrown out through the CISF if put their rights & concerns loudly,
                                      iii). With the great Anguish and Pain I want to say that with the behaviour, Words (like call CISF) and actions of Mr. Nikhil Sharma, Indigo Shift In-Charge and Mr. Vikram, Dy Manager, we feel insulted and hurt and strict action need to be taken against them. They are sitting in the front desk and behaving like this with the customers must not be tolerated as they will spoil the image of the Airline. The strict action must be taken against them and the action taken may be known to us.
                                      iv). In addition to unforgettable Insult, Pain, bad experience and Mental Agony we had gone through in this incident, we have suffered a direct financial loss of Rs. 20, 000/- Approx. + time loss and could not reached to our destination on the same day and could not attend important official engagements etc. on the next day also.
                                      Hope some sense will prevail somewhere and strict action will be taken against the concerned and our direct financial loss will be compensated as well as compensation as per DGCA guidelines will compensated.
