My name is Prathap Guttikonda and my QID - [protected]. I have been working here in Qatar for more than 5 years. I would like to raise a complaint regarding the recent incident that happened with me and my family in Doha - Hamad International Airport. I would like to draw your attention in this regard.

If there is a deportation case from the destination airport, don't you have time to contact the concerned person before taking an advantage of an existing return ticket? There was a fare difference which I was supposed to get from you, as I booked a Flexi Plus ticket for my wife and kid. How irresponsible you are and don't you feel ashamed of doing this to a small kid and a woman..??
I demand a refund of my ticket fare as this is your responsibility to bring my family back to Hyderabad as we have all the valid documents to travel.

Doha - Qatar.
Phase 1 :
Applied for Resident Permit for my wife and kid (18 months old) - Rejected (due to covid restrictions the min- salary is 20, 000 QAR) (No one knows this until we see the captain)
Cancelled the existed application and applied for Family Visit Visa (thinking that we can convert it within 6 months)
Applied on 3rd of August and paid for the Flight Tickets & Travel Insurance.
Total Amount : Approx : 3500 QR
Phase 2 :
We have to visit 6-7 times to get our application approved. We are begging them in each and every phase to get our applications approved.
After visiting 6 times the captain approved our application and we received the visa number, and paid 400 QR for my wife and kid as visa fee.
Phase 3:
Since the ticket was already booked, we booked the hotel quarantine for 10 days for my wife and kid. Paid Approx: 3500 QR
After making the payment I also wrote an email to MOI asking for confirmation. I received a response the very next day stating that "yes it is possible".

Phase 4:
So based on all the valid documents I told my family to get ready to travel on 5th September 2021 from Hyderabad to Doha.
I called 109 and 16000 for further assistance regarding EHTERAZ approval. I uploaded my wifes vaccination certificate as they advised me to do it.
They told me that there is no vaccine available for the kids so you can upload your mother's vaccination certificate to get an approval.
Phase 5:
I got an approval on 5th September, Indigo Airlines checked all the documents too. My wife and kid reached HIA on 5th September 2021 at 8:00 pm.
Unfortunately, they did not allow them to enter Qatar due to the new restrictions by MOPH. They left my family in the waiting hall for almost 8 hours.
They did not give them proper food or room to take rest. No one contacted me at least to know the status. My kid slept on the bench after paying this much huge amount to the Qatar Govt. They treated my family like this.
I wanted to let them know that we are not slaves. We are a part of their GDP Growth. We need the same respect and response from them as we are the residents of Qatar. You do business with money but not with our emotions.
Questions & Solutions :
The Qatar Govt has all the options available with them to stop this pathetic deportation of my family.
Why did they issue a Visa and allow me to pay for everything..??
Can you please tell us where we can get Covid 19 - vaccination for an 18 months old infant ?
If they wanted to impose new restrictions just to save us from Covid then they can happily cancel our bookings and refund our money.
MoI can send us a message saying that our kid visa is on hold due to new covid restrictions.
HIA, INDIGO, MOI or MOPH any of them can contact me at the time of my family arrival and ask me if I can do something about this..?
I would have gone with my Kid to drop her in India and come back within 2-3 days. By this time my wife could have completed her quarantine too.
There is no coordination between the departments. Me & My family suffered just because of MOI, MOPH & INDIGO AirLines recklessness and Carelessness.
If this is the case, how can we recommend our family and friends to visit Qatar for the FIFA WORLD CUP...??
Please give me an opportunity to express our concerns in regards to this and I hope you will get back to me soon on this.
