I had booked a flight tic on 25.12.2019 with a travel date of 17.4.2020 The tic costed me Rs 2782/- due to lock down the airline has refunded me Rs.2532/- to my Credit Shell.

      I have booked a flight through paytm on 19 th april for the journey on 04th may assuming that the lockdown ends.
      Why would they not refund the money instead? This is a cheap and unprofessional business trick that indigo is putting money in the credit shell. I might not get the flight for the same cost another day. Also, they have only refunded the ticket amount but not the processing fee.

      I would like the complete refund into my payment bucket back (Not the credit shell) as i generally don't travel in flights. As it was cheaper, i booked it. But will never again do this mistake of booking with indigo.

          We have mailed to indigo customer care, nodal officers and also to appellate authority to provide cash refund. And credit shell will not be of any use to us since we are not frequent travellers who can make use of credit shell.

          We have clearly told them we need money back to meet our financial needs still they are not ready to refund the cash.

          Below is the response we got from indigo customer care.

            Hi,
            I have booked flight from amazon and the date of journey is 10th april.
            But due to lockdown, the tickets got cancelled.
            And according to government policy i should get the total refund but indigo has charged the airline cancellation charges and refund just a small amount.

              We are trying to follow up indigo customer care and it's more than 8 mail conversation.

              We are clearly stating them we are not frequent travellers who can benefit from credit shell which indigo is providing and we wanted to travel only during those dates tickets have been booked.

              We have paid the tickets through credit card. Interest against credit card is also increasing. Will indigo take responsibility for paying our credit card interest since they are delaying our full cash refund.

              What kind customer service indigo is providing if customers are asking their money they have paid.

              Why indigo will resist to return back customers money..

              We are in need of our money back to meet our financial needs. We are asking our money back to take care of financial needs.

              Please help to raise grievenace against indigo.

I have enquired through mail but the travel agents claim airlines are not offering the refund.

                    Indigo accepted bookings for travel on 15 Apr 20, without any confirmation about lockdown. The lockdown was extended and now they are not refunding the money. They have created a shell account after deducting Rs 259 as convenience fees. I dont want to travel by indigo in future and hence want my full refund if rs 5333.

                      This is with reference to the flight pnr number plwehd, niqpxm and ppqn7e, dw2sfh.

                      We have dropped around 4- 5 mails to indigo customer care mentioning because of corona pandemic lock down flights are cancelled d and asked indigo to refund the money we have paid for flight tickets.

                      We have clearly explained we wanted to travel only on the specific dates we have booked tickets and we are not frequent air travellers who can benefit from credit shell or credit note option which indigo is providing.

                      Credit note will be of no use to us. And we need money to meet our financial needs during lock down period.

                      Even after we explaining all the above situations very clearly. Indigo has declined cash full refund and have generated credit shell and have mailed us. We did mention to indigo that we need proper solution to our concerns and refund our money back or else we will be raising consumer complaint.

                      But we didnt get any mail reply from indigo for the same but rather than indigo has sent credit shell

                        With due respect i would like to inform that i have taken 6 ticket on april 26 from delhi to kochi.in indigo air lines and i have received massage from the agency mentioned that your flight is cancelled. I talked to the customer care regarding refund and they denied to give the amount and there airlines rules is that amount is credited in my pnr and i can use it in 1yrs if i planned trip with in 1yr sir/madam i m a salaried person i cannot planned with in 1yrs and i can't get leave also from company the whole amount i have to loss also and these whole things i talked with the airlines then also they refused to give back the amount and i talked for cancellations they r asking 3000 per head for passengers that's mean i have taken 6ticket for rs29000and i will receive only 10000rs only govt rules is that full amount without deduction should be returned to the customer and i can't understand what's problem with these airlines if the company is loss then it s not my fault the amount must be returned to me i have given the payment from my salary why i should suffer and one another ticket also i cancelled with vistara airlines they return ed full amount without any deductions and why indigo air lines cannot so plz help me to take the amount from indigo airlines i attaching ticket with these email

                          Am deepa jolly vadakkumpadam b ooked flight from malta to cochi and payed 49500 indian money. Thereafter the corona incidence came and i cancelled my flight and they took half of the money from me. They are going to refund only 17624 indian money and this is redicules act infront of me. If they are not going to refund my half of the money i will put forward with police complaint

                            This is in regards to my flight from ixc-pnq, on 08th may with indigo airlines.

                            I stay in pune and i was suppose to travel from mumbai central to amritsar via train on 28th april with my father but indian railways have cancelled those booking and did a complete refund.

                            Since i won't be going to punjab there's no way that i could board my flight from amritsar (Ixc) to travel back to pune (Pnq)

                            Hence i wanted to cancel my flight and get a refund. But indigo is not ready to do a complete refund. Asking me to book tickets for a later date or reschedule the flight and pay the flight difference or the cancellation charges. But i don't have any plans to travel and i can't be forcefully making plans and due to this pandemic future is uncertain and i don't want to risk my life by traveling.

                              Hi team,

                              I booked flight ticket through happyeasygo agency on 27th march 2020 for 15th april 2020 from bangalore to lucknow, but cancelled because of covid19 national wide curfew. I got notification from the indigo airline that the refunding has been proceeded, but nothing is done by the agency so far.
                              I tried whatever i can but there is no response from the happyeasygo agency and indigo agency.

                                PNR: LBDDPB,
                                On 12 November 2019, I had made a booking for Indigo Flight for 31 March 2020 The cost was Rs 34K approx.
                                The flight was cancelled.
                                Company refuses to refund the amount instead they asking to reschedule within 1 year.
                                Customer care personnel are reluctant to hear/resolve the issue.
                                I think Indigo is cheating with the customers.
                                DGCA should take strict action against this SCAM.
                                A PIL was also filed at supreme court demandind full refund.
                                I request you to refund the amount without any further harassment of the customers.

                                  I made few booking, pnr : fjgexj, ki524z, this two pnrs travel date is 08apr20 - 05may20.. Total 4 passenger. Amount paid approximately 16000/- per person. Flight cancelled due to covid. I requested airline for refund. They said they can give credit shell for future travel within 1 year. And they said for new travel date if there is any fare difference i have to pay... The new fare for the same itinerary is around 30000/- almost double than what i paid.. This is totally unfair... I want full refund, please take necessary action. Thank you

                                  I got a reply from Indigo Airline that my ticket was issued on 05Mar, as per government announcement for refund, the ticket must be issued after 25Mar. Eventhough my flight was cancelled due to Covid they refused to do refund.. and also the important issue is, i bought the ticket for approximately 16000/- per person... they said i can reschedule without change penalty but i have to pay the fare difference, the new fare for the same itinerary is around 30000/- per person... almost double than what i purchased, so for rescheduling they are asking another 14000/- per person. Please take necessary action on this kind of service.

                                    I am a journalist with daily loksatta & and had booked two tickets from hyderabad to delhi for april 30, 2020. (Pnr/booking ref.: jegv2v)

                                    I requested indigo airlines to arrange full reimbursement of ticketed amount of rs.6, 578.00. They are declining. Their argument is that the amount is in credit shell and can be used in next travel. This is not fair. I do not have any plans in near future, so i need the money.

                                    The replies from them are in trailing mails.

                                    I went through guidelines of ministry of civil aviation that asks for full refund.

                                    Hence i request you to please advise indigo airlines for full repayment

                                      The fight had been cancelled by the co due to natl lock down.
                                      As per your message, it was mentioned that, credit will be given in a future date. Actually i already reached mangalore thru other modes and no need of the credit and requests for the refund.
