Infibeam — Received faulty product and denying replacement or refund

I made purchase o[censored]BISLATE 3G7 from Infibeam via Order ID no. 16673820 on 26.8.2015. I received it on 28.08.2015 afternoon. The product was NOT FUNCTIONING. It also HAD LOT OF SCRATCHES. It looked as if it is a second hand or used product. 29.8.2015 I interacted with the Service Centre of DATAWIND over phone on 29.8.2015 and tried to switch the device ON ( Full chargining, rebooting, hardware reset). Inspite of their suggestions, the device did not work. I spoke to customer care personnel of INFIBEAM at 18.30 on 29.08.2015 and sent a mail regarding the scratches and non-functioning of the received device. The Photographs of the product and the box were also sent [protected]@infibeam.me. 2.9.2015 On 2.9.15 I again called up INFIBEAM and asked the status of the return of the product. I was told that the complaint has been lodged to DATAWIND and I need to visit the nearest service centre to sort the issue. The product was finally collected on 7.9.2015 after many follow up calls to Infibeam and the courier associated with them for pick-up. 12.9.2015: The product was received back by Infibeam (see below) 15.9.2015: I received call from Datawind asking what issue was faced in the device and were it is presently. I got so bugged up. What is this happening? What co-ordination or the chain is this?? Why are these people working in isolation?? I told them that the product has been returned to Infibeam from where the product was purchased. The product had lot of scratches and is not atall working. The product has been returned to Infibeam. 22.9.2015 Today after waiting for ten days after non working and scratchy UBISLATE was received back at Infibeam on 12.9.2015, I again wrote email asking as to what has happened to the same Immediately I got response as below: “As per the quality report, we are glad to inform you that the product is working fine. There are scratches on the screen guard but not on the product. The product is ready to be reshipped as we are unable to pull out any issue. Please get back to us with the confirmation upon reshipment, so that we can dispatch your product. A quick response from your end will be appreciated.” This response really made me go insane. Then I spoke to customer care and I was shocked to hear their response. They told that they received quality report which said that the product is working fine and scratches were on screen guard and not the device itself. They told that screen guard was pre-applied on the screen from the company itself which had scratches.” No document regarding any quality report was attached with the mail. The complaint was done by Infibeam to the DatawindINFIBEAM lodged complaint regarding the faulty product to DATAWIND via ticket ID GL0831UP54711 on 31.8.2015” I need response from Datawind only for the complaint and not by any of your local quality checkers. Only report from Datawind is acceptable saying that the Device is functioning OK and no scratches are there on the device but only screenguard. Simply getting checked by local people and sending the device back will not work and is not acceptable to me. Also, if the quality check was done on 12.9.2015 why didn’t Infibeam responded to me since then, Only after I wrote today, am I getting such response. I asked for the Quality report but was told that only status in system is given and no such report exist. Why no transparency is there?? They are selling faulty products and then fooling customer into a never ending trap. This was my first purchase and offcourse it will be last also, since I cannot keep long term relationship with such unethical organisation with no morale and good business rules. Just getting customer and having full money but delivering faulty product. Also not agreeing to replace or return though its sure that the device is not functional and with lots of scratches, they are trying to prove its fresh. Sheer making fool of customer. What use it is if a new product is bought and then sent back and with minor repair ..etc, it is being sent back. Then it should be charged for second hand product and not first hand. I repent my decision ot buy from Infibeam and I am making sure that no one of my known ciricle buy from Infibeam due to these unethical practicies.

True.. same thing happened with me. I received defective product and it's been 10 days now and no one is coming from infibeam to collect it.
