[Resolved]  Reliance Broadband Netconnect — Issued a legal notice

Address:Maharashtra

I had been using a Reliance data card having no. [protected] for almost 2+ years. I was initially using the card in Pune, later I was reported to Mumbai and I had serious connectivity issues regarding which I had complained to Reliance on various occasions; I was always told that there is a congestion and they are working to resolve this; however nothing much changed and I ignored the pain regularly paying the bills before due dates. In October 2011 I finally decided to terminate my connection, I called up RComm customer care and told them my plea, they apologised and gave me a waiver for next 3 months with the promise that the service would improve; however as expected nothing changed again. As I did not want to take a new connection (my laziness)I continued for the next few months again all bills paid before due date.

In September 2012 I decided to finally end this, I called up RComm customer care and told them I wish to terminate my services, again offers we're rolled out; however I was determined to stop this time around.
I was told that I just need to pay for the existing month before the due date, a request has been raised for termination by RComm and it would be done. I paid my bill well before the due date and hoped that I would get an email or call from RComm. What I received is a bill again next month, I called up RComm and asked them the reason for the bill, the earlier request was not registered by the RComm agent; I flatly refused to pay as I had not been using the Reliance connection.

I was told by the RComm agent that they would look into this and resolve it, also I was given an option to go for safe custody which I refused as I did not wish to continue with Reliance. Best is next month again I receive a bill, not sure why the connection was still active if I did not pay in October itself.

Now I have received an email from [protected]@gmail.com asking me to be present at Lok Nyayalaya Bandra on 6th April 2013.

I did call up on the numbers given in the email to get some more clarification. The lady told me that I should either pay up or be present on 6th April, 2013; I was also given an option to pay a part of it and close the account; however I don't understand why should I be paying for no fault of mine when I had clearly requested for termination and had cleared my dues.

I would request you to please help me in this regard. I don't mind visiting the Lok Nyayalaya; however I do have other commitments to keep during the day and was hoping this could be settled with your help.

Regards,
NJ Mathew

Dear RComm Care,

Kindly update the system as well, as I was told by omsaienttops that it is still not done.

I did visit the Lok Nyayalaya today, it was a total chaos as over 100 people were called by Reliance at the same time. I marked my attendance and left after the commotion as it would take over 4 hours for my turn as per the token number given to me. I hope you guys shall finally resolve this in the system as well.

Regards
NJ Mathew
