[Resolved]  Iocl - Khirpai Lbg Distribution Centre — Khirpai Indane distributor Unethically charging Rs 100/- for mobile registration for novice customers

The complaint is reagrding LPG Id:[protected] Consumer No: CX10021610 My wife Mousumi Nandi went to Khirpai Indane Gas service as she was unable to book gas through her mobile (which is mandatory now). Though she did book earlier through the same mobile surprisingly the same was not working now a days. First she went to Ghatal local office they said they can neither book nor help with the problem. They directed her to their Khirpai main GAS office near Halder Dighi. The concerned person in the gas office took her mobile and made two SMSs - one for mobile registration another for booking. Indane Officer charged me Rs 100/- as mobile registration without providing me a bill telling that whatever he has done is company process. When she told about this charge of money to me over phone in Kolkata; I went through internet and found that this is not chargeable instead this is a process change and anybody could send an SMS to register a mobile as website has clear processes as mentioned. The Khirpai gas service is sucking our money like this to a novice consumer. We have now realized how Khirpai Gas service is making thousands of rupees by cheating customer like this. She has seen there and she was told that they are doing the same thing for others. There are many novice people in that locality about the new process of Indane cylindar booking by mobile. Indane distributor instead of making aware about the change system to consumers, they have decided to make money unethically. This must be stopped and all money must be refunded. Moreover, we have recently undergone Aadhar linking process and my phone no and account nu is updated. Istead of expediting this registration process they have chosen the path of making unethical income. In addition to that in spite of taking money they did not update my current mobile: [protected] submitted to them on 08/01/2015 yet; which is really unfortunate. I am appealing to IOCL to look into these matters and stop their licensing and stop making distribution companies unethical black money like this by cheating consumer. If IOCL is not returing my Rs 100/- only I will unite all Khirpai people and made a social campaign against IOCL about this malpractices. Complainant's Phone: [protected].
