[Resolved] Irctc — Attitude of the railway booking counter staff | |||
Dear TO WHOMSOEVER ITS CONCERNED, I have booked the ticket from HOTGI to MYSORE on 28th April through tatkal quota as there was no availablity from Gulbarga to Mysore.My boarding point is Gulbarga. Now If I want to change the boarding from HOTGI to Gulbarga there is no option for me and also I will need to cancel the ticket in order to change the boarding point.If I cancel the ticket 1.Tatkal ticket cannot be cancelled. 2.Cannot edit the boarding point 3.If I book another ticket from Gulbarga to Mysore am sure that it will get confirm. So request the authorities to provide an option to update the boarding point after the ticket is booked irrespective of the quota. TICKET Details : PNR NO : [protected] TRAIN : 17308 DOJ:28/4/2014 TIME : 18:32 HG TO GR S6 - 1, 3, 4, 6 FAIR : 1670 DOB:27/04/2014 Regarding the above mentioned information I had been personally to Mysore railway station hoping that I can change the boarding point. To my surprise the staff who was responsible to answer the enquiries informed that I should contact the railway authority before 48 hours of ticket booking time. Tatkal Quota gets activated only before 24 hours of date of journey. Please explain me that how will I be able to approach them withou ticket as mentioned by the staff. After insisting this the person was very rude and answered "sanka dinda bandre thirta" (go and ask supervisor).
