Irctc — Refusal for refund | |||
Dear Sir/M'am, This is with reference to the cancellation of Kolkatta mail which was scheduled to depart at 21.25 from CST (Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus), Mumbai on 26th December'14. The train was cancelled without any prior intimation or information. On 26th December'14 at 17.00 hrs we co-incidently discovered about the cancellation of the train and in tremendous pressure had to hunt for alternate arrangements as our booking was for 13 persons and 4 kids below 5 years. Our PNR numbers are as follows & photos attached for your reference - 1. [protected] - CSTM to Jabalpur 2. [protected] - CSTM to Pipariya 3. [protected] - CSTM to Jabalpur We were going on a vacation and hence had to pay a unreasonable price for alternate bookings. We waited for the refund to reflect in our account but even after 15 days it did not reflect hence, we checked with railway inquiry about refund, we were denied since we did not file a TDR for the cancellation. The train was cancelled by Indian Railways, we were the ones who faced the hurdles and again we are asked to file a TDR??? I fail to understand for what reason???
