JustDial.com — unauthorized ecs debits for the last 6 years

Dear sir/ madam,

I was shocked to go through my father’s personal bank account statement, where for the last 6 years, starting june 2014 unauthorised charges of around rs. 5, 000 are being deducted every month, till date., ie. 71 debits of around rs. 5, 000 each. The narration of such transaction is ecs just dialb.

I remember the sales executive of justdial bangalore come in to our office in june 2014, and offered a trial period where just dial would generate leads for my business. After the trial, if i was satisfied, i would renew the services. Post completion of trial period, the sales person from justdial kept harassing us to renew the leads services, but i strictly declined, and requested them not to follow-up. The quality of their services and quality of leads generated was appalling, to say the least, and did not meet the requirements of my business.in fact, the leads generated were useless and not as what was promised to us by the sales executive. Hence, due to utter dissatisfaction with their services, i decided not to renew the contract, and told them to stop serving us after the trial period has ended.

However, to our shock, little did i observe my statement all these years that rs. 5000 was being debited every month! The narration by the bank in the statement is so confusing, that it is very difficult to make out it is of just dial. Also, the bank (Hdfc) did not send us the sms each time these amounts were being debited. I wonder why

I see many more such identical complaints against just dial by small and medium size businesses. Clearly, it’s a pattern and ploy they have developed over these years to cheat their trusting and vulnerable customers.

My father is a patient, and a senior citizen. He cannot monitor his bank statement every month, especially when it has such confusing narrations. Justdial has acted unscrupulous in treating its senior citizen customer, by debiting his personal account unauthorizedly, and not providing the promised services.

To my bigger shock, when i did a search on justdial.com for the industry in which our company does business, we did not see a premium listing of our company. It was 20th in the list. And what is even more utterly shocking, is that the contact number mentioned on justdial for our company does not belong to us! They have put another unknown number, who must be leveraging off our brand. Last but not least this company was shut 2 years back, and just dial is still debiting our personal account.

This looks like a complete fraud by justdial. I am still not sure, if hdfc bank has connived with justdial to commit this fraud on its loyal customers. However, there are frightful articles on the internet, showing hdfc colluding with justdial in debiting unauthorised charges to its customers. When i called up our hdfc bank branch and asked them to stop this ecs facility, they declined saying that only justdial can put a stop. And who do we contact in justdial? How do we identify our account? What name do we say? I called up justdial. The lady said some higher-up will call me, till now no one has called.

Since this is a clear unauthorised ecs charge every month for the last 6 years, i would like the following from just dial

1. Immediately stop the ecs mandate
2. Refund the entire amount paid to them since the month of june 2014, as all the ecs debits are fraud, and un-authorized. Even when the balance in my account was not sufficient, ecs bounce charges were charged by the bank - justdial needs to make good these charges as well!
3. An annualised lost interest @ 18% on the total due amounts till date.

If justdial doesn’t comply with the above by the end of this month, i will file a criminal complaint with the police, and take all the necessary legal action against just dial. And will put up this fraudulent action against so many of their customers, on social media.

I hope for a speedy resolution and early refund of all our money.

Are you really a fraud, or are you just incompetent? What is ‘ [protected]@justdial.com’? Is that as illegit as your company’s services? Give me a real email address to write on, preferably give me a number to call on - and not 2333333, but the number of a senior executive who can review this case.
