Kent RO — High Maintenance cost

Hi All - I was also pretty shocked when the service person told me that the annaul cost of changing filters is rs. 5000. At first I thought he was taking us for a ride. Read the manual and it does say that we need to change the entire set of sediment filter, carbon filter and membrane filter need to be changed every year. I didn't research this earlier and when I checked with others, this doesnt seem to be the case with other Kent RO filters. Is the solution just to throw away this crap and buy a different brand?

They are advertising 4 years maintenance free but nowhere mentioned it costs 5k per year.

I am very disappointed that KENT Grand New stopped working just after 12 months from the date of purchase. And now the service centre team is saying the charge will be around[protected] as they have to change the filters.
This is absolute loot of the customer by making false promises, it is an exorbitant amount for maintenance. Close Rs. 5000. This is very atrocious, I would NOT recommend anyone to buy this. The product is good but the maintenance cost is too high.
You are taking consumers for a ride by not advising in advance the maintenance cost per year. You are advertising 4 years maintenance free but nowhere mentioned it costs 5k per year.

They cheat customers. Even I felt in trap. Just after an year o[censored]sage, service guy asked for 6000 rupees for maintenance. Its unbelievable they are charging 50% of the price as annual maintenance. Looks they are trying to get all their expenses on Ads and promotional stuffs through their maintenance charges. I am pretty sure if customer gets aware of this trap, their customer base would fall sharply. I want refund in the product as the hidden charges are significantly high.

I have been using Kent RO filter from 1 year 4 months. Quality of filter water is good. But maintenance cost is too high. Out of frustration, I am writing comment everywhere because I feel looted from this filter.

Below are the cost, that technician told me.
1. Ro Memberance -RS 2950
2. Sediment filter -> Rs 550
3. Carbond filter -> Rs. 550
4. Post carbon filter -> Rs. 450
5. UF memberane filter ->Rs. 650
6. FRT ->Rs. 250
Total: Rs 5400

Cost of maintenance is around 36% of filter cost (around 15k) . I have written so many email customer case and their relevant team. But there is no genuine replay. So think twice about the annual maintenance changes of kent filter before purchasing.

I would ask other company to build new product for pure water.

Poor service engineer causing un necessary cost to the customer, my candles changed twice in 3 months, consumption of water 10 lts a day. Problem still exist now they came with new theory to change some more items, more than 6 thousands maintenance in only 3 months

The Annual Maintenance cost of Kent Grand Mineral RO is Rs 5925 with just water filters (without any electrical fault), which is 50% of the product cost. You have to pay it every year after the end of first year itself. They sell it by saying 4 years warranty, but it just covered visiting charges. Everything else is chargeable from the end of very first year. Also they raise their filter charges by 10-12% every year.

Company is literally stealing in day light as they have their monopoly, as their filters are not available in market. Also any outside filter will not fit in their filter body due to their unique sizes of each candle/filters. Their main source of income is not Ro machine, but the filters and repair is their original source.
