[Resolved] Kent RO — high maintenance cost - kent filters | |||
Hi I bought kent ro pearl exactly on 13th oct. After just 6 months (July 2019), water stopped filtering. So i had to call for service and agent told to replace both the filters which costed me around[protected] bucks. To my surprise, this time (Dec-2019) not even 5 months, water stopped filtering and a high beeping sound is coming. I enquired and called the service agent. He came and without much investigation, he told that ro membrane filter, sedimentation and carbon filter all needs to be replaced. The estimated cost provided by him is around[protected] rupees. He didnot even bother to check and investigate properly if thats the real issue. My questions is that a filter which cost around 13k has an annual maintenance cost of around 5k to 6k (Around 50%), i feel that the kent ro systems are playing with the customer after they have purchased the filter/instrument. Its too high maintenance cost and i dont see it being reasonable also. In my apartment we always get the tanker water, there is no borewell water. So the questions of having bad quality water as much as borewell water is not there. When i spoke through the agent, he says you have a bad quality water (~200). My questions is if the normal water is good by itself, then i would not need the ro filter. The purpose of the water filter to clean the water. On top of this, if the filter has amc of 50% of the cost, then i feel there is something wrong in the pricing of the spare parts which kent is supplying.
