Meter reading date and bill date discrepancies

Actual Meter Reading date varies by about 4 days “Up or Down” than the billing date. Hence exceeding some slab limit marginally when ‘Up’, having to pay unduly more charges (for more than two months), where as we loose some units when ‘Down’ and the cumulative effect becomes more than bearable amount even if we try to control electricity usage.

Since your billing system do not have averaging and sum up for ‘2 month’...

Delay in request of temporary disconnection submitted 14/3/16'

On 14/3/16 submitted an request for temporary disconnection through speed post and personaly contacted the person to remitt the disconection fee, but they are not responding well .So please take needfull steps in this request .

Stay wire installed inside property

LOW VOLTAGE

Dear Sir/Madam, I am a consumer of kseb (consumer no 4008), living in mulakuzha under the electrical circle of kseb mulakuzha.It has been months that we are suffering from Low Voltage problem.The problem is only in our side.Because of this so many electrical & electrical appliances has been not working/disturbed due to low voltage.People already given so many complaints to kseb mulakuzha for resolving the issue but they didnt do any action....

Unauthorised usage of private compound

Respected Sir/Madam,
We have build a new home recently by taking home loan & when we applied for single phase connection, because of one additional switch (that can be used for plugin AC in future), the sub Engineer asked to change the meter and advised 3 phase connection is required. Me and my child only living in the house, as my husband is abroad & the electric consumption also very less.
We got a message that says Rs-32117 to be paid in order to revise the connected load. We have checked with the KSEB office, & they says its because the 3phase service line is going through the main road & the line is yet to come to your panchayat road. So we have asked like there are so many houses are there & they are living near this panchayat road. The road is not for me alone. Its a panchayat road. In future if I pay this much amount, will I get the amount back if any other family require the connection? They said a no.. My question is KSEB should provide at least the service line without incurring fees from the consumers. For new connection we can pay, but what if they are going to provide the same line to others. That doesn't make sense. So I need a clarification on these. where can I contact? How can we get a new connection in this situation?
Already the bank has given the required amount. So we have no option to change the load now as the electric wiring and the connection also need to be changed for the 3phase connection & it requires money..

Subject: Complaint Regarding Excessive Charges for Electricity Connection

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I am facing with the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). I recently built a house using a home loan and applied for a single-phase electricity connection. However, the Sub-Engineer from KSEB suggested that I must opt for a three-phase connection because of an additional switch installed in my home that might be used for an air conditioner in the future.

I live in the house with my child, as my husband works abroad, and our electricity consumption is minimal. Despite this, I received a notification from KSEB asking me to pay ₹32, 117 to revise the connected load. Upon inquiry at the KSEB office, I was informed that this amount includes charges for extending the three-phase service line from the main road to our panchayat road.

I find this unfair for the following reasons:

1. The panchayat road is a public road with multiple houses, not exclusively owned by me. KSEB should bear the cost of extending the service line as part of its responsibility to provide infrastructure for the public.

2. If I pay the full amount for extending the service line now, I was informed by KSEB that I will not receive any reimbursement when other households in the area connect to the same line. This seems unreasonable, as the line will serve multiple consumers in the future.

3. The process of changing the load to three-phase also requires alterations to the internal wiring of my house, which would result in additional expenses that I cannot afford at this time.

The bank loan I secured is strictly allocated for constructing my house, leaving no room for such unexpected costs. I request your guidance on how to proceed in this situation. My specific concerns are:

1. Is it not KSEB’s responsibility to provide the service line up to the panchayat road?

2. Are these charges justified?

3. What are the available alternatives for obtaining an electricity connection without incurring these high costs?

I kindly seek your intervention to address this matter and provide clarity on the obligations of KSEB in such cases.

          Satyarthi road, chelavoor, post number PV7, in this area last 3 months frequent power cut for full long day. They are changing the Trabsformer its fine, they have to think about how people suffering, because they are not completing the work. The kseb operator simply sitting.

            Kachani KSEB, Trivandrum is frequently disconnecting the power without intimation. It's the 3rd time in this week they have disconnected the power for the full day. This has caused a lot of issues for the natives residing in the locality (Varyakonam). The response from the Kachani office is also poor.
            Please take this seriously as the services are realy poor. No actions were taken for the earlier complaints.

              The KSEB Kachani section is very poor in terms of services. The power is down for whole day from 8.30AM to 5PM for continuous 2 days without prior intimation. The notification came just 5 minutes prior to disconnection. The reason was stated a LT maintenance but the workers were seen drunken and were not in condition to work and the work was very slow. Similar incident happened on 20-Aug-2023 where the localities interrupted the Engineer. The same is been repeated now. The street lights are not turned on during nights and the condition of the lights are poor. The response to the quires are also not up to the mark. More over this office which belongs to Kachani, Karakulam panchayat is situated in Nettayam Trivandrum corporation area.

                Hi,

                Regarding the above consumer number today I have got a bill#[protected]. Bill is for a period of 2months from 8.6.23 to 9.8.23. It states that I have consumed 452 units for 2 months. The bill amount is Rs 3008 which includes fixed charges Rs 350, fuel surcharges and monthly fuel surcharge (which is not justifiable). Additionally, an ACD/ADJ is noted which is Rs 2670. I don't understand this ACD/ADJ since until last bill it shows I have paid advance to KSEB and the amount is deducted for payable amount.

                Hence please clarify the same at the earliest.

                    I have made an online payment for kseb bill on 21/06/2023 through upi method, transaction was successful and the amount debited from bank, but the bill payment was not successful. KSEB website is not showing as bill is paid.No reply from KSEB when I tried to contact them. Please credit that amount back to my bank account ASAP.

                      Respected Sir/Mam,
                      I was unable to pay my kseb bill payment with the due date 26/05/2023 because usually we are paying bills using Gpay but this time we didn't get any bills in the Gpay. So I tried to get bills using kseb quick pay through google. I chose UPI option and paid in the application by accepting the request from the kseb. But this bill was again showing as due amount. After waiting for 6-7 hours, I have done my bills using Paytm from other account and then it was successful. The amount debited was ₹964. Will I get the refund immediately?
