[Resolved]  Kotak Mahindra Bank — Complaint against rude behaviour of customer service rep

Hi Team, I withdrew 1000 /- at an Axis ATM Vartak Nagar, Thane West . The Machine went down & the transaction failed. My account shows debit of 1000/- but I never got the money. I called up Phone Banking & Spoke to Vignesh, initially called up from a different number since my phone battery drained. Vignesh did not help me instead kept arguing to call up from different number. I had to eventually call up from my registered number & I again got Vignesh. Hhe took atleast 5-7 mins just to validate me by asking me stupid questions. I am explaining him the query & instead he kept arguing/insisting to call back giving all lame excuses like manager unavailable, transaction would be refunded within maximum of 7 days etc. As a customer, I am not at fault that the machine faild & y money wasnt processed. Vignesh is extremely rude & arrogant. He kept arguing & denying me of talking to a supervisor. After fighting for almost about 15-20 mins, I eventually spoke to someone called Ajay Pillai, (claiming to be the Supervisor) who was of absolute NO HELP to me. He was even more pathetic to deal with. He denied me of further escalation asking to write to Nodal Team & stating he cannot help further. Customer Service Rep: Vignesh Gunasekaran Supervisor: Ajaj Pillai Ref # 1-[protected] I have no option but to wait for 7 days to get my own hard earned money refunded in my account due to ATM Machine error.This is highly unacceptable service from MNC like Kotak. Dear Mr. Fernandes,

As per our records, the disputed transaction has been successfully authorized by the system and is claimed by the acquiring bank. We have raised chargeback with acquiring bank which will take 7 working days to settle as per RBI Guidelines.

Your account will get credited on the 7th working Day provided the funds are not claimed back by the other Bank (i.e. proof of transaction which proves that cash was dispensed to the customer).
