In KPN bus servicing from Bangalore to Nagercoil, they loaded several sacks and baskets of flowers of various kinds at a stopover location in Hosur. Then the bus halted for dinner around 7:30 pm in "Adyar Ananda Bhavan Sweets India Pvt Ltd - A2B Veg restaurant" located at Gundalapallai in the by-pass road NH7 Chinnar - Hosur. While the passengers were having food in this A2B restaurant, few workers in that facility including the security personals, driver / cleaner of KPN, other workers unknown of their role jointly committed theft of the customer's goods (flowers) loaded on the top of the bus. The cleaner (he used to drive too) climbed up the KPN bus and opened up few sacks / baskets of flowers which belong to the customer, and filled up a plastic bag and then distributed among those workers listed above. It seems that the majority portion of the stolen flowers goes to the lady who is selling garlands and flower strings in that premise. So in essence the sale of flower strings and garlands in that A2B premise is conducted with flowers obtained from theft from these transport buses (private, not sure about public bus, as I saw this happening in another Omni bus as well).
Thought this looks like a misdemeanor or minor theft from the victim customers, when these act is carried over in large scale over multiple buses per day is a big offense and is punishable. This needs to be addressed. I saw a couple of passengers recording this act, and the video may go public on the internet.
The illegal flower sale business,
The theft of customer property,
The aiders and abettors for this theft,
The A2B management,
Management of the entire premise
All these parties are liable and accountable for this offence and should be punished. This theft happened on Jan 01 2018 around 7:30 PM. Was this information helpful? |
