Leo Coffee — leo chicory powder

I bought 2 leo chicory powder packets of 50 gm each on the 15 th july at around 6 pm from nilgiris besant nagar chennai branch where i always used to buy coffee powder along with chicory. But today i purchased only chicory of leo. But the product says date of manufacture may 2017 and best before 9 months now being june 2018. I did not notice at the time of purchase. I fail to understand why it is still on the shelves of the store and sold by your rep
