I am posting this to share my extremely disappointing experience with LG’s product quality and after-sales service.
I own an LG dishwasher that has been repeatedly breaking down. Over the past year, this machine has gone for repair three to four times, and each time the service experience has gotten worse instead of better.
My latest complaint (No. RNP[protected] was registered on 9th December because the dishwasher was not cleaning properly due to low water pressure caused by worn-out internal parts. I was told a part needed to be ordered. Since then, there have been long delays, poor communication, and no proper resolution.
In just the last few weeks, I have spent over ₹10, 000 on parts, transport, and service charges. Despite paying this amount, the dishwasher is still not working reliably. I have been forced to wash dishes manually for months even though I own a machine — purely because LG has failed to fix it properly.
To make matters worse, LG heavily advertises a 10-year warranty on the motor, creating the impression of long-term reliability. But what is the use of that warranty when other critical components fail within 5 years and customers are left struggling with repeated breakdowns, high repair costs, and poor service support? A long motor warranty means very little if the rest of the machine does not last and the company fails to provide timely, effective service.
After multiple failed repair attempts, even LG’s own service representatives suggested I request a replacement. However, the process has been slow and unresponsive.
I have now clearly asked LG for either:
- A brand-new replacement dishwasher, or
- A full refund of the money spent on repairs, since the product has not been successfully fixed.
So far, the response has been unsatisfactory.
I am sharing this so that other consumers are aware of the service risks. I hope LG takes responsibility and resolves this matter fairly and urgently.
