I purchased an LG 27GN750 monitor in April 2021. In January 2024, LG replaced the screen panel under warranty. However, they did not disclose whether the part was new or refurbished, and no job sheet or paperwork was provided.
In May 2025, the monitor failed again. I registered a complaint (RNP[protected] and an LG technician visited. He pointed to a handwritten serial number and admitted that the screen was refurbished and that LG doesn’t tell customers because they might refuse it.
I was then given an unreasonable ₹22, 000 estimate for repair (almost the full cost of the monitor ₹27, 000).
I followed up with another complaint (RNP[protected] and it was escalated (Escalation ID: VCP[protected]. I spoke with the Branch Service Manager and emailed LG India and the CEO, but there has been no resolution.
LG also cancelled my request via SMS without providing any explanation.
I am now filing formal complaints through:
National Consumer Helpline (consumerhelpline.gov.in)
Consumer Court (edaakhil.nic.in), if LG does not respond within 48 hours
I’m deeply disappointed with LG’s after-sales service and non-transparent practices. I urge LG India to provide a free repair or full written compensation.
