I would like to raise an issue faced from LG Service center recently.
On 10th Aug 2020, all of a sudden the LG 260 Ltr refrigerator stop working in Sister’s home & she raised a complaint with LG service center (Complaint ref no#[protected].
After waiting of 3 days the service center person from Pattampi (Palagat, Kerala) visited on 13/08/2020.
After inspection the technician informed that the mother board is damaged & cost of replacing the mother board will be around INR 3, 200/-.
We already connected this refrigerator with a stabilizer even though this LG refrigerator is having an inbuilt stabilizer as per LG (Works Without stabilizer 100V-290V, Protection against Fluctuation).
As per the technician this damage was happened due to the nonfunctioning of our stabilizer, but it’s not true. We took our stabilizer to V Guard Service center they tested & confirmed that its working, no issues were found. Also there were no power surge happened in home & no other electronic equipment was damaged. We strongly believe that this may due to some other cause or manufacturing issue.
Please note that the refrigitor was purchased on 05-JAN-2019, and its only 1 year & 8 months of very normal usage, as its small family of 2 member and my mother. The refrigerator never overloaded with items.
Before also we were using LG refrigerator for almost 15 years and with no issues.
At this pandemic situation my sister and family is not in a position to bear this cost as my brother in law already lost his job in July 2020.
You are kindly request to provide an exemption on this part replacement on free of cost.
Also we would like to bring attention of approach from LG Support center :-
After the visit /inspection, we asked the technician to provide an Official service report for this, but he said he can’t provide any inspection such reports, we don’t know why like this now ??
For this visit they charged us INR 416/- & also they are not even ready to give a cash receipt also for the payment done.
Since they are not providing any officials invoices or receipts, we don’t know the charges what the technician informed is valid or not !!
