I purchased an LG 398L Double Door Refrigerator, Model GLT4036SNPZ, directly from the LG India website.
Order No: [protected]
Service/Replacement No: RNA[protected]
Delivery Date: 8 August 2026
The refrigerator was delivered damaged. During LG's installation visit on 8 August, the technician identified the damage and initiated a replacement request. The damaged refrigerator was then picked up on 19th Aug, but LG failed to provide a replacement delivery date.
Since then, I have made **50+ calls and sent 30+ emails** to LG Customer Care and various service teams. Despite this, I have repeatedly received only generic responses such as "the team is working on it", "your case is under process" and "it will be resolved at the earliest."
I was repeatedly passed between Customer Care, the local service centre, the escalation team and senior customer service. Customer Care gave me the contact details of **Nisha Nihal**, Ahmedabad Customer Care Officer, and later **Bipin Mehta**, Ahmedabad Service Manager. I kept following up, but even the service manager could not get a clear answer from LG Head Office.
On 27 August, Mr. Bipin Mehta informed me that the replacement would be delivered by **29 August**. That date passed without delivery, tracking details or a proper explanation.
I specifically asked LG for the dispatch details, logistics partner, tracking number and shipment status so that I could follow up myself. Instead, I received another generic 24-48 hour escalation response.
The biggest failure is that LG has **no proper customer-facing system to track an escalated replacement request**. After paying for the product, the customer is left completely dependent on calls and emails with no visibility into where the replacement actually is.
I never expected this level of service after purchasing directly from LG India.
I am posting this so prospective customers understand what can happen when something goes wrong. The issue is not just the replacement delay; it is the complete lack of ownership, communication and transparency.
LG needs to provide a concrete status and delivery date rather than continuing to send automated-looking assurances.
