I have lg led tv model 32le5500. It was bought around 2011 july.
Recently it had problem with frozen display. Complained to lg service centre and they visited at home for inspection and charged 295 rupees. They informed me that the mainboard of this tv is at fault and has to be replaced the service guy informed me that he'll go to his office and raise for this spare part and will inform me.
He called me back in the evening and informed that this spare part is no longer available with lg, and therefore my tv cannot be fixed. Lg discontinued the model and stopped the supply of the spare parts for this model?
Now i'm surprised and confused that within 5 years of product cycle there are no parts available for my tv? Upon followup with call centre, i was told that it is lg policy to discontinue with a product after 5 years.
Does it mean that my 48500 rupees (At the time of purchase) is wasted? I'm shocked at this response from a reputed company.
Who will buy lg products which will have self life of 5 years only???
