I, [Your Full Name], made a payment to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on 29th March 2024 for the purchase of a life insurance policy. The payment was successfully completed via Transaction No.[protected].
Despite the payment and multiple follow-ups with LIC, I have not yet received the policy document, nor any official confirmation or policy number. It has now been nearly 5 months, and LIC has failed to provide any clear response or resolution.
I lodged a formal complaint with IRDAI under Token No.[protected] on 5th December 2024, but no meaningful action has been taken by either LIC or IRDAI since then.
This delay has caused me significant inconvenience, uncertainty, and mental stress. I consider this a serious deficiency in service and a violation of my consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
I am seeking the following redressal:
Immediate issuance and delivery of the policy document or full refund of the premium paid, along with applicable interest.
Compensation for the mental harassment and inordinate delay.
Any other relief as deemed appropriate by the Hon’ble Consumer Forum.
