This is a very bad product with dead insects and rotten dates. I wonder how they got all government approvals to sell.
I bought this from star bazaar. It had all kind of government seals on it including fsaai. But there were dead insects in it. Many of the pieces were rotten. What are these government agencies doing. Are they blind to such or have they taken bribes to cover them up. No complaints here seemed to be addressed by them. Writing just in case some consumer in future might be saved or media at least take some action on it.

Recently I bought Arabian dates in saravana stories in buyone get one offer... quality is very poor and taste is too bad.. please don't play with consumers .. try to provide good products.. its my humble request

I bought 250g lion dates with batch no. Sd342 from a retailer in order to provide this as a health supplement for myself. I was shocked and furious to find feathers inside the packet when i opened it and at the same time, my was chewing one of the dates from the packets and was about to swallow it. How can an haccp iso 22000:2005 company like lion dates can do this. I am planning to move this matter to consumer court complaining about the feathers and complaining about the accredited certification bodies who has provided haccp iso 22000:2005 status. Please advice.

I have purchased lion dates batch number: sd76. Most of the dates are having mud on surface of the dates, sand in inner layers of dates. I believed the lion dates would be finely processed and purchased because of the brand, but you people are cheating us with bad quality of products.

I was having diarrhea after taking 5-10 dates yesterday, i believe it because of taking muddy lion dates which is having bacteria in it.

We can clearly see the mud on dates, but i dont know why the fssai is not verifying the batched. Please do require needful.

I brought an lion dates packet on 15 March 2017, and found an insect and we stopped eating it. I think some thing wrong with the quality department in Lion dates company. As I opened to lodge a complaint regarding this, I saw many complaints with the same issue. But why on one is taking action on it?

I mailed them, but no reply from their side. So i am lodging a complaint here

Hi this is chitikel. Praveen i have purchased lion dates there was an offer as buy one get one free on the purchase of lion dates of 500 gms pack.
But later i have realised they have cheated me as the product has been expired how can they sell the expired products with the offers?
It's all they are cheating the customers by giving the offers and it's health hazard to sell the expired dates.

Finally overall bad experience with the lion dates.
On the package they had given the toll free number[protected] for the complaints but there is no response if you call to the given number.
If there is no number to complaint then why do you just give some number that is no response from your end.
Kindly take some action, request higher officials to contact.
This is really a bad experience and worst image on lion dates.
Kindly take action on this.

Selling expired products and at an offer is misleading and cheating issue and requires regulatory action. You can file a complaint with your District Designated Officer (Food Safety)

I think lion dates are very good and healthy and clean but im wrong, they just advertise "our dates are good and ours only good" . Dnt fool the customers .

There is a fraudulent offer from Lion Dates, whereby if a consumer buys one kg dates packet, he/she gets one kg free. I recently bought one packet under this offer and found that the dates they packed in were of worst quality and had expired. This dubious offer is repeated by Lion Dates regularly, and this poses health hazards to innocent customers.

This is Horrible, i found small dead cockroaches in every date..we have not realized until we start consuming along with Milk..we found dead cockraoches floating in glass!!

Sad part, this is our dialy cosumption by Mom and kid. This is unrepairable for us!

23rd September I purchased lion dates at nilgiris stores near by me. It was by one get one offer. When I came to home and opened the pouch I found cockroach inside it. Horrible to trust the branded products now a days. As am suffering from typhoid I bought this. But these kind of products doesn't help out the people. Manufacturer please look into the issue seriously.

Lion dates are being sold through innumerable outlets with offers like "Buy one get one free". We find that there are a number of insects in the packets. Now I have seen so many complaints in the same line in this website but the company has not responded and continues to sell the same substandard food product.

What is the point of submitting complaint in this forum if no corrective action is being taken?

Two weeks back i bought lion arabian dates (1*1) from a super market. Expiry date was fyn and i just had one piece and saw a worm in that. Checked another dates and saw worm and it's egg. Plz don't do this to customers especially in food items. Human life values a lot.Instead of spending much money for tv commercials, invest in the quality of your product plz. Dont waster our hard earned money. I will never make a mistake of buying this lion dates product

I have purchased a lion dates bye one get one pack in that I could able to see worms inside the dates. for the first time I did not mind it and next time when my friend said the same issue. The pack is very fresh and also it has not gone beyond expiry date. There is no use in giving offer like buy one get one everyone expect only for the quality. I have noticed and have wrote on your page there are many people and children who unknowingly intakes and it causes some health hazards. May I know what kind of action can be taken for this.

Sir, recently bought Lion honey "buy get one free", with agmark grade A from reliance. This is not Honey, rather a sugar based mixture look a like of honey. Water insoluble matters percentage for Grade A is 0.5. This honey completely dissolves in water at at even 23 degree Celsius. If this is not honey with bee picture and "Kashmir" labelled on it...what is it? Government at least has the responsibility not to give authentic " good for consumption labels" and alsd the inform the consumer that this product is fake.

Pests inside the dates

I brought a lion dates unseeded packet of 500gms but there are lot of insects/pests in the packet where as the expiry date shows July 2013 and the manufacturing date is March 03rd 2013. Please take action on this.

When I purchased Lion Dates from Big Bazar, Palakkad with an offer 500Gm free with 500Gm, accidentally I weighed it once. In one packet only half was there (250Gm) and other one was 500Gm. It was two packets of 500Gms pasted together with cello tapes by Company. So we never doubt on such. I couldnt return it to Big Bazar as I already opened it and removed it. But it is highlighted to them, but they mentioned, it is getting as two packets together from Company.

I brought 250g Lion Dates, Batch and LOT No - SD65, fssai - [protected], but it contains very less dates and contains mud stone, some leaf, dried dates which is completely useless. don't know what type of mud stone and leaf it is. If it leads to any health issue to us then who will responsible? I seriously goes to consumer court for this. I wonder how it gets ISO 9001:2008 certificate which is not at all worthful to it. i have a photograph of it, i will send it to consumer court
