Hello, I have been trusting the produce of this company for very long time, as I was brought up from a very close location of this factory in Trichy, Tamilnadu. I have been watching the tremendous growth of this company and customers trust. Also, I have been seeing the same issue (ex: quality degradation) what other similar companies undergo when the scale of the company grows and start failing to keep the trust of the customers; ultimately lose the customer base and struggle to sustain in the market. I have been buying Lion dates since 10 years now, I could see the quality of the product has degraded with time. I stopped buying, Lion dates since 2008 when I noticed bugs in the new packets of Lion Dates. I bought those packs in a kirana shop next to my house, thought its because of the way the packs are stored. I returned the packs and the shopkeeper was wise enough to accept and repay the amount. Later, I realized that could be a frequent case for that shop keeper. Recently, I saw some heavy priced "Delicacy" seedless dates, having thought the quality would have improved with the price. To my surprise, nothing have changed. Still found a bug in that pack too. I was preserving the packs with the bug for sometime to take it to appropriate department to get serious attention from your company. Unfortunately, may or someone have trashed those packs. Still I have captured the video and pictures of the bugs and packs. I'm attaching one of them here, for your kind attention and appropriate actions to strengthen this company's quality processes. Looks like this company believes only on marketing techniques and glossy advertisements to help sustain the sales and position in the market. I purchased Lion dates from a departmental store in vellore on Aug 30, 2014. The dates quality was not the same as usual. The dates were loosely packed and smelt and tasted like medicine. Please take necessary action to maintain the consistency in the product quality.

I bought 500gm lion dates from Nilgiri supermarket, brigade road, Bangalore on may 25th 2014. It is written on the container manufacturing date march 2014. Expiry date within 6 months. Just 2 weeks before I opened the container there are many live insects inside.

Hi bought LION Arabian dates, they have mentioned that these are imported., But actually they are mixing local dates and adding only 25% of arabian dates and selling. This is a huge fraud and they are selling for buy one get one free at such a high price. Please do necessary action

Dear Sir, I purchased at Big Bazaar under the scheme BUY ONE AND GET ONE. I opened one of the packets and found a big stone, Is this the way of offering BUY ONE AND GET ONE? I feel really shocked to note such an activity of your company and wondering as to why I can not publish in News Paper and bring it in face book, twitter etc. It clearly indicates that this is not a genuine way of doing business.Iam going to report this matter to ISO also K.R.Natarajan. It is quite shocking to note the speed of attending to customer complaint. He was perhaps told by M/S. Menaka to contact my mobile without appraising him the event. Can I have your quality policy? I purchased a packet of Lion dates and when i opened the packet to eat it, i found a worm crawling inside. The packet was completely sealed before that. The manufacturing date is feb 2014 and it says best before 12 months from manufacturing and now its just may 2014. What kind of food quality standards are these?

Hi, Yesterday night (8th March, 2014) i bought Lion deseeded dates box (packed and batch no: 24 FEB 14/0712) from a grocery store ( Vijaya Laxmi super market, Plot no 303, Allapur, hyderabad-18). After i open the sealed box, i found its full of insects (beetles). I was shocked to see insects inside the box as I have been buying lion dates for a long time (doctor suggested for my mother). I can no longer look at Lion dates the same way. Please take severe action against this company as i see many other complaints against the same importer. I bought a Dates Packet of Lion Dates which is packed on 28 aug 2013 batch No:0505.
But when I opened the same it seems very un hygienically packed with many insects inside the packet,
After that I have made a compliant mail to Lion Dates, the Reply was too casual, that they are ready to offer me a New packet for free of cost, I am not that much low migrant to buy a free/ sample packet from LION Dates,
I must get a loyal action

I purchased four plastic box (sealed) of lion dates on november and it has 6months expiration period [manufactured on:31, oct]. I saw lots of insects (beetles) alive at all the 4 boxes. I usually buy Lion seedless dates for daily consumption, and I was happy about the quality dates packed.

On last week I bought Lion Dates 500g with seeds (By one get one free) about Rs 74 .

I opened the packet and seen more than 50% dates are white and not eatable.
Remaining dates are bitter taste which has seeds.
Is it quality?
First time, I met the worst product form LION Dates.
Is it the dates or waste?

I'm very much disappointed about the product from Lion.

And then again visited to the super market, and shared my experience with the customers and friends who are bought the same Lion dates(Buy one and get one free). They are shocked and returned to shop immediately.

I hope due to this product LION may lose many number of customers.
And also requested LION to remove this product from the lion dates list, and get back this product from shops.
By this product Its really cheating the customers.

On 26.02.2012, I have purchased Lion Dates Pack of 500 g from More Out let of Sirsi taluk, Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka state. When I opened the pack for consumption, I got chicken feather in that pack.

Before one year also i have experienced same kind of violation of quality standards when I purchased Lion dates syrup from Food Camp, C.P Bazar, Sirsi, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka State. That time i found uncountable ants in that syrup bottle.

The company is ISO 9001:2008 certified company and it is clear that the company is not following quality standards. Thus it is voilating the quality standards and cheating the consumers.

Hence please take appropriate action against the company.

I am consumer of lion dates from Bangalore. I purchased the liondates pack from Food World, BTM layout 2nd stage, Bangalore. I got the deseeded dates 2weeks back. I am surprised to see it full of seeds. 1 or 2 seeds is acceptable. But its not a deseeded one. Full of seeds. This is cheating from Lion dates. How did lion dates got ISO certification? I purchased a Lion dates packet batch no : AUG 2011/SD 78 OF 500 GRAMS.The shop owner gave me one more packet of the same batchno as free. He told me that the scheme was from the co. But how horrible it is after opening a back. The Dates are far from edible conditions. It is so worst even a street vendor keeps the dates in a good quality. It is surprising that how the ISO certification has been awarded to such co.,. Both packets are of no use. Pl write to the co., for explanation.

I found pieces of long hair inside the dates.My baby eat those dates.I am afraid of my baby's health.I think that all the Lion dates have the same quality problem.So kindly take immediate acation.I need a compensation for loss Rs.1000000 lakhs.So that the will not be continued.I attached photo (dates with hair) but the photo is not that much clear.I have that packet with me.

the seal but it got full of insects.
I brought it in Bangalore and now I am in Hyderabad, Seriously I don't
want to waste my money I want to exchange it, please let me know the

Last week I bought Lion Dates 200g . Fully black dirst, insects & sands , i disposed away . this is more than three times , My family members told Did nt buy lion dates .

I have bought 200 grams Lion brand deseeded dates with batch no. D413 Pkd Dt: Mar'2011 on 12th Apr'2011 from a retailer L.R.Stores @ Adambakkam, Chennai. When I have opened it & started eating along with my 5 year & 2 year old children, i found live bugs & worms running on those dates and got shocked & upset. Immly. took my children to the wash room & asked them to spit it & clean their mouth.

How was the ISO 9001:2008 was certified to this company "LION DATES IMPEX PVT LTD.,27/3, Cauvery Road, Trichy-620 002. India. without checking the complete process of food processing & packaging.

Do we need to assume that this ISO body is also corruped?

Please do take necessary action on top priority & save mankind for god's sake.

MR.Stores,ayyappa swami temple Road,hsr lay out ,kormangal,Banglore.
When i open that pack i found lot of insects in that pack.I didn't get proper Responce from the company also
.These People are playing games with consumers health and as well as money also.I found lot complaints
Against lion dates in the net which are related my complaint since 2008 to till date.
So please take the proper action.Other wise we have to go to the media.

I purchased a packet of lion dates from Triveni Super Market, Statue Trivandrum. When I opened the packet and took it for eating I got the body of a big dead fly from it. I doubt the cleanliness and the standards followed by the company.

This brand of dates ia very popular and a lot of people trust their produts in Kerala. So I think they need to keep maintain the cleanliness of their product
