I am a victim of fraud call . On Jun 16th 2018 I got a call from this number +[protected] and saying we are from HDFC rewards points payback department. Then started telling my first four digits of my credit card details for confirmation and then said you have 9k reward to get this credited to your account need some information from my end and I said transfer that money to my credit card . But they refused and said your card is not registered in payback portal hence give me any other back card details then will transfer.
I suspected they are fake and asked them, that person goroav Sharma gave his employer id and office location address details and then I gave my citi back credited card . He said for the security reasons we will send some OTP that will just hold your money and open your application process credit the money to your account . Somehow me made me to agree and took 20K post that said your card is allowing only 5k to credit hence give another card so that from my end process will get close money will credit to you then I gave my standard charted credit card he took again 20k .. in total .. in the middle he took 5k extra from my savings account too. Of course it's my bad to tell OTP .. but what should I do .. I was thinking only on the money which I lost . Unfortunately i didn't get anything . I went to police station to rise FIR but they did not accept this complient since it a online credit card swipe..

So I suggest everyone to be careful as many o[censored]s will receive such calls.
Please don't share any of your card details, OTP, password, cvv etc...

    Hi,
    I had done a transaction on ebay from my payback points, but due to some reason the order got cancelled and the payback points 1596 that i had used to shop the item did not get back into my payback account. I had sent a mail to payback but no-one did a reply to the mail neither the points hot reflected in my account.
    Please resolve the issue and kindly help.

        I have ordered Motorola earphones with my Payback reward points and the order is not delivered to me yet.its been 2 weeks and no update yet on the product delivery details.I have placed the order on 29th june 2018.the order number is[protected].i want the product to be delivered as i have been waiting for this product from very longtime.its been long time and no update on the order or the courier details who will be delivering the product.

          I had raised an sr number 14010980 for non receipt of payback points. The sr was closed with resolution but point was never credited to my account. I raised another sr 14012898 for the said issue which was closed again without resolution. I raised a 3rd sr 14214046 for the same issue and it was also closed without resolution. Point was never credited to my account. I called up the customer service number and they promised to help close my issue. But nothing happened for more than 45 days. I raised a 4th sr 14347785 and called up the customer care and escalated the matter to certain vinod who is supposed to be the shift incharge or shift manager. He promised to help me in couple of hours since the application system was not working that particular day. He never called me up. I called back after a week and tried to speak to him but he could never be contacted.in the meanwhile i raised another sr for non receipt of points 14378529. Now both my srs. 14378529 and 14347785 are waiting for resolution out of which later is pending since more than 3 months now. Sick of payback.

          They don't bother to call you back even after repeated reminders and calls.

            I had 4000 payback points last year and redeemed for a shoppers stop voucher on 30th dec 16. Until date, i have not received the voucher. Daily i keep raising a new support request as these people keep closing the old tickets without resolution. They tell me they will resolve within 3 days, 5 days and stuffs like that and cheat me. However, never has the issue been resolved by their backend team. Escalated many times to service desk agents and spoke to the escalation point of contact ratikanta mahana in person. No use. I suggest everyone to stop using this payback voucher option because your money will all go to payback pockets and an unprofessional/cheaty set of people.

              I went to big bazaar on 2nd sep 2017 with payback evoucher on mail and they purchased items of rs. 2210.20 and they show vouchers to billing counter. Billing counter person check and reply that your voucher is still not activated. He has checked on 2 - 3 different counter and told us that voucher is invalid. He asked us to mentioned your voucher numbers and mobile numbers on paper and once it is activated we will inform you.

              Now suddenly we came to know that voucher has been used. It means that billing counter guy has used our voucher against same bill and made bill of rs. 4210.20.

              I can understand the fraud has been done by big bazaar person.

              Now either payback team or bigbazaar team is going to resolve the query. Please suggest.

                I would to inform to you that last month 21st august i've payment rs.1500 via paytm in your entered payback website (Bingo) but your mailing team did not take any responsibility (​[protected] why i don't know???

                Your response really don't make any sense to my earlier email. I asked your manager to reply me as an evidence of escalation. But still you don't bother to any words what i say here. I am still getting response only from customer service representative. Why the hell you neglect to consider any of my emails.

                You said my case has been escalated (??) but it's been ​25​ days ​over ​and there is no response in correspondence to my request. And where is the proof that my case has been escalated. I am really struggling hard to write up decent words in my email. Because i just see that you guys continuously don't give any damn to my request. And from the very beginning i am telling you that you guys are pathetic and ​​highly unprofessional​ ​mailing team​. I am trying to find my way to complain you in public forum​ nothing more else.​

                  As part of rewards received, I placed order with payback vide order IDs 1574116 and 1573047 on 16th june 2017. There was no mention of redemption fees, SGST and CGST as on date of order ie 16th june 2017. A fully damaged product was received for order ID 1573047 on 21st june 2017. Hence immediately wrote back to payback on 22nd june. The acknowledgement was received but the complaint was not addressed. For one of the reminders, they promised to resolve but has not been resolved.

                  Now an amount of Rs 99+8.91+8.91 towards redemption fees + CGST + SGST.

                  My concerns are,

                  1. When Payback or bank has not communicated on redemption charges as on date of order ie 16th June 2017, how can they collect the charges now?
                  2. Their online portal has not prompted with this information
                  3. When it is clear that damaged item has been delivered, how can redemption fee plus charges are collected for damaged product.
                  4. It is very hurting to see Payback not responding in professional way and telling lies though there are proofs in terms of request IDs.

                  Now, when contacted payback about the redemption charges and the damaged product, they say it is the bank who has collected and bank says it is payback who has collected. Where should I go? Having known that I have to spend more towards the redemption charges for the product of worth of not even Rs 100, I could not have placed the order.

                  Payback is highly irresponsible and claims I have not made complaint. When shared the request ID, they said it is resolved. OR some times, they are asking to contact the bank.

                  My bank is ICICI and though being a loyal customer for more than 15 years, ICICI is also not able to resolve the issue. Both ICICI and Payback are throwing blame on each other and my request to bankers, do not cheat customers and collect amount like this.
                  I want ICICI to seriously look into this. These are hidden charges.

                  Dear Forum, iam communicating with icici bank and Payback till today. Payback is saying that I have not made complaint on the damaged product and then it said that the charges are not collected for the product delivered in 2014 . I have got a product delivered in 2014 but it was in March and what Payback is saying is that redemption charges are applicable from June 2014. Attaching a picture where payback had confirmed on receipt of complaint for damaged product and promised to address it. Iam wondering like this how many customers are being cheated by Payback and its bankers. I had asked icici bank to provide the proof if it was mentioned in their portal or in Payback portal as on date of placing order but till now it is not shared.

                    In my payback account and totally dined your executive to raised sr.

                    For every transaction i need to call payback or send mail to raise

                    Days. One of the worst ever problem i am facing with payback.

                      Hi sir,

                      Payback.in is charging duplicated charges again and again which i have already paid in month of may redemption. They agreed their mistake but they were not ready to reverse and it is almost 250 rs. And they simply through this mistake on payback team. I call to these people many times and i'm charging for the calls cost for 150 rs. This is more waste charges to the customers.

                      I have already registered one complaint on icici bank credit card team because these people are tieupd with icici and cheating customers in the form of redemption.

                      Complete cheating to the customers. Please resolve this issue asap.

                        This is inform u to that yesterday i had called your customer care from this number [protected] regrading payback (Payback number-[protected]) apps how to payment through payback via paytm.. However i had talked your executive but she did not given full information about that also disconnected my call why i don't know???
                        After that i had called again and call taken miss. Monika maybe then called transferred to your team leader miss. Sayida she did not understand my issued regrading 'paytm payment option' also she told me that 'sir i had raised sr[protected] and you will get confirmation mail asap' but still now im not getting any kind of mail or sms registered number of her end,,

                        After that i had payment through your website and linked to patym optioned

                        I have detailed explained my issue and dissatisfaction with customer care and particularly asked them to escalate to their higher level to look into it. But they are very reluctant from the beginning and they totally ignore my concern at all. This is the most pathetic customer care at any level.

                          This mail might reach the junk mail folder but irrespective of the brand name payback carry, let me highlight a few practices which are happening at your organisation at grass-root level!

                          1. Yes, my Order[protected] was delivered. Item name Shoppers Stop E-Voucher worth INR 250
                          Why it was delivered !! Only they will know & offcourse the staff!

                          2. You can check the trail mail...what Payback is doing these days is sending spam mails asking to click in CLAIM Offer mails & forcefully duping customers to redeem their points..i realised my MISTAKE & immediately wrote a mail, called Customer Care & also raised a Service Request to cancel.

                          3. Customer Care was so competent that they responded saying that no points have been redeemed to my satisfaction.

                          4. So what i received now is SURPRISE !! Inspite of doing my part, the order gets delivered, points get redeemed & your so called CUSTOMER Service says ' They cant cancel '' whereas i followed policy, terms & conditions & called Customer care immediately to cancel.

                          . Can you understand how malpractices are on ????

                          Well i head the HR unit of a prestigious organisation hence it was important for me to let you know since i am sure your belief i suppose is also ''Customer is king ''

                            I Purchased laptop from ebay on 31 may 2016 costing 46990. For this purchase payback EBAY offer was therefor which 37600 PAYBACK points were to be credited to my account ending with 2506 but it is not being done till date.Despite complain to both ebay and payback customer care they have not provided any solution.They are making fool of people.                               I redeemed my payback points into bigbazar vouchers (Rs 2000). Payback sent a mail that they have sent e voucher to my mail. Raised a request to reissue the voucher (Request number given in the subject) and waited for 7 working days again. Now they have again replied that they have reissued the voucher to my mail id. I did not get any e-voucher related mail other than this mail. It is fully a cheating. Icici credit card team has to note it.

                                1. On making inquiry for the payback card up gradation to payback plus, i have received stupidest of responses. Each time different customer executive gives me different response and on complaining they say the magical words "data i am providing is correct". How could 2-3 different data on same query could all be correct.

                                Data provided at the time of the purchase was different and now is all together different one that to i am not sure which is finally actual facts as each time have received different responses from different executives. And on raising the query at the end what i get to here is


                                What am suppose to do of apology is as good as apologize after robbing.

                                2. Get delayed responses after number of reminders.
                                Since on the call i was getting irresponsible response, i wrote a mail on 1st august to which after n number of responses on 6th august i got the reply.

                                3. Partner details incorrectly provided

                                250 bonus points in a month on either 2 transactions of 500 at payback online partners partners. So is mentioned in the company tnc, initially i was told icici credit card will be considered for 500 - 2 transactions. Now i am getting very stupidly replied "no it is not how it is". What does this irresponsible statement means... When company wants to tell me anything they say it would be as mentioned is in tnc... So now its is not as in tnc but herein "that is how it is i get to here"

                                On asking for the clarity as even in their tnc there is no where mentioned in online partners icici will not be considered as an exception where as on their very own site icici credit card falls under the online partner section.

                                4. Different details w. R. T bonus points incorrectly provided each time most importantly before purchase.

                                4.1
                                On payback+, i will get 250 bonus points in a month on either 2 transactions of 500 at payback partners or 20 points on icici.
                                For the 20 points,
                                Response 1 - in one transaction to get 20 points.
                                Response 2 - total points on icici card in month must be 20.
                                Response 3 - no such offer — if so then why will i upgrade the card... The icici is my main usage.
                                Response 4 - two transactions of 20 points in a month.

                                4.2
                                On querying about the great response number #4
                                As total point after the credit card statement are credited to payback card the points can never ever be 20 points twice in a month possible as in every month the credit will be only once from icici. Also in your so called tnc its mentioned "transaction activity date would be considered"
                                Response 1 : they do not get the break down of the points its with icici.
                                Response 2 : they can check the individual transactions and would be considered.

                                Are you people not getting your salary to work in such irresponsible behavior at payback... Or have you arrived from a different planet where in logically 2 different data is equal.

                                4. Getting different responses from different customer executives on the payback plus activation date. They themselves are not sure of their own tnc. (So called)


                                Response 1 - one updated that it will get activated after one month and valid from next month - 1st september 2016.

                                There is no responsible response from payback. On raising the issue I get call and on each call I get different answers and each time my issue stays unanswered. It is like a real harassment.

                                  I used to receive reward points when i do any transaction using icici card, the

                                  Reward points is maintained by a company called payback (Based in bangalore), i

                                  Have accumulated 32, 000 + points, last week on july 9 2016 i receive an email

                                  Aying 20000 points will be deducted for which i will receive a voucher from

                                  Hopper's stop, the worth of the voucher is rs.5000, also using this voucher i

                                  Cannot purchase any item as per my which. My complaints are as follows

                                  1) how can they force me to buy in shopper stop, that many items cannot be

                                  Purchased using this voucher, so they are forcing me to buy useless items which is

                                  Not sold??

                                  2) how can i receive the voucher without my permission??

                                    I had redeemed my payback points from my icici credit card. I have ordered blue coloured americian tourister bag by paying additional amount. I was exited to gift these desired bag to loving person.In reality the americian tourister bag was delivered to address with different color (Orange with black). It makes us serious disappointed where no clear visibility on products appeared in payback website. (Attached are the photos)

                                    Payback team was delivered orange coloured back americian torister bag with different specifications of bag zips and size. I was totally disappointed when my friend called and informed about the product specification. Immediately, when i checked with customer care mr. Ajith from banglore replied below lines.

                                    "we have clearly mentioned in the description colour may vary as per the stock availability"

                                    I was wondering, the statement is not subject to customer approval. Payback team simple selling products showing apple fruit and selling orange with above statement. And as a customer we are under impression we are about to received apple fruit. Unless we open the product. For payback company it does matter tastes and preference, but from customer it matters alot for me.

                                        I bought a product from payback on january 4th 2016, which had the order number: [protected]

                                        Until january 14th i did not receive the product and that is when i placed a call to payback they said the order is cancelled because they did not have it available and they will refund my money. I was never notified about the cancellation.

                                        After calling them several times they kept on telling me that the payment will be reversed in 5 days, 10 days, 7 days. There was a different number every time. But none of it came out to be true.

                                        On 19th february, i posted on their facebook page so that they acknowledge the issue and resolve it but no effort of mine was fruitful.

                                        It has been 3 months and i am still waiting on the payment.

                                        In the end i am seeking help from the respected indian consumer complaint forum so that i get heard and get my payment back.

                                        I have been through lot of frustration and harassment during this whole incident as i feel exploited as a costumer.

                                        I bought a product from payback on january 4 but the order was cancelled by payback stating that the product is not available with them and my payment will be refunded. It has been 3 months and i am still waiting for the payment to come to my account and i have been following up since a long time but payback did not resolve this problem and did not give me my money back.
                                        The attached image is a proof of PAYBACK claiming to resolve it in 4-5 working days which was assured on February 20th and I am registering this complaint on March 23rd and my payment is still not received.
