Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. regarding the lack of support and accountability I have faced after purchasing a Mahindra XUV700 just two months ago.
Despite being a new vehicle, the clutch wire burnt unexpectedly, causing serious inconvenience. When I approached the authorized Mahindra service team, instead of providing assistance under warranty, I was told that the damage occurred because I allegedly kept the clutch long pressed in traffic. This explanation is unreasonable, as such usage is common in city driving conditions and should not result in a critical failure in a brand‑new car.
What is most disappointing is the non‑supportive attitude of Mahindra & Mahindra. Rather than acknowledging the possibility of a manufacturing defect or poor quality of materials, the company has attempted to shift the blame onto me, the consumer. This not only reflects poor customer service but also raises concerns about the reliability and safety of their vehicles.
I request the consumer portal to kindly:
Investigate this matter and hold Mahindra & Mahindra accountable.
Direct the company to replace the defective car and provide compensation of this life-threatening event & trauma.I was abandoned on a highway for nearly 1.5 hours, without any assistance from Mahindra team, left utterly exposed, unsafe, and vulnerable. The sheer negligence in after-incident support further proves that your company neither values human life nor takes responsibility for its defective product.
Ensure that consumers are not denied rightful support through unjustified explanations. I continue to suffer breathing difficulties and persistent coughing due to the smoke and toxic fumes inhaled during the fire. This incident has caused serious health concerns as i had to take oxygen for having normal breathing, constant anxiety, and ongoing psychological stress. When i sent mail to Mr Anand Mahindra and their senior leadership they have blocked my Id and no mail is getting delivered to them.Neither any response from Mahindra on tweeter or LinkedIn.Clutch can go off i understand but there should be some life in 2 months only if clutch components went off and burst the car into flames which can take someone's life should not be left as it is.
I trust the portal will take appropriate action to safeguard consumer rights and ensure that manufacturers provide fair and supportive service to their customers.
