Mahindra And Mahindra — complaint against the sales and services of the mahindra dealer at jorhat, assam.

Dear Mahindra,

At the outset I would like to state that all my excitement of owning a new Mahindra vehicle turned into a bitter experience right from the word 'GO'. At this moment I feel very disturbed by the fact that despite so much of a bitter experience from the sales and service unit, I still will have to keep myself associated with a pathetic service provider.

Hereby, I would like to share my bitter experience that the dealer Ramnarayan Shiwprasad has been giving me since day one.

One fine evening, I visited the Mahindra dealer Ramnarayan Shiwprasad of Jorhat, Assam to see the Mahindra KUV 100 nxt k4 plus.My parents fell in love with the vehicle at the first glance itself and we all made up our mind to buy the vehicle over the other close choices that we had in our mind like the Maruti swift and the Honda Amaze.

On 10th of June, I had booked a Mahindra KUV 100 nxt k4 plus from the dealer Ramnarayan Shiwprasad of Jorhat, Assam.The sales executive was very polite and we proceeded as per his advice. The sales executive also brought the vehicle to my house which is about 60 Kms from the dealer to give me a test drive and to assist me with all the formalities regarding my loan and other booking formalities. Everything went on fine until after I brought the vehicle.

After a month waiting ( which was not of much concern to me), I was called to the dealer by the sales executive at about 4 P.M on 10th of July 2018 to get my vehicle from the showroom. My vehicle was delivered at about 6.30 P.M, which is already dark in a place like Assam.

As soon as I boarded the vehicle and sat on the drivers seat and shut the door, I realized that the driver's door had some issue and the door did not . Immediately the service manager came to see that the repair couldnot be done at that moment since the lock had some issue. Just imagine, I drive my all new vehicle for 60 Kms at night with a faulty driver door. Thanks to the very late and almost night delivery and the quality check team who should have checked my vehicle before delivery.

After that, the mechanic comes to my house the next day and says that the lock needs to be replaced and the dealer does not have a lock. so they asked me to wait for three days since they had to order a new lock.

After a week I get my door repaired and thanks to the quality check team again that I get a sound below the vehicle body whenever i break or accelerate my vehicle. I immediately called the sales executive and he says that he shall get it fixed the next time I bring the vehicle to the service center. I also inspect the vehicle to see that ropes which were tied to the suspension of the vehicle ( which I believe was tied to the vehicle during transportation ) are still stuck below the vehicle. It was then I realized again that the sales team didn't even have the sense to do the minimum inspection of the vehicle before delivering it to the customer. Till date I complaint about the sound and I had taken my new vehicle to the service center three times, but they did not bother to attend to the problems with sincerity. My new vehicle still has a problem of body sound.

Also, the sales executive had given me a offer that he would laminate the vehicle free for me and then I requested him to also paint the chassis of the vehicle before delivery on payment basis. this was requested three days prior to the delivery date. On the delivery night I get the vehicle without any chassis paint and that too he had charged me for the lamination which he had committed me free of cost. Moreover, till date I have paid Rs 9000 extra ( in cash) on the delivery date for which I have not received any bills. Despite of all these odds I had not launched any complaint since these all were of not much concern to me since I was expecting services value for money and since the sales executive was very cooperative and polite. But unfortunately, service was even pathetic.

Finally, after all these odds, the date of 1st servicing come on this day of 29/09/2018 after the odometer reads 3000 Kms. I sought an appointment from the service centre and they ask me to report at 9 A.M on 01/10/2018 ( ie after two days) they also confirmed the same over SMS. So, I sent my vehicle with my driver for service on the designated date and time. But all in vain...

My driver keeps on waiting till about 1.30 P.M without anyone attending to the service of the vehicle. The excuse they give is, all their staff are in a training, I wonder why on earth did they call me for the service if their staff were in training ? Don't they value the time of others ? They kept my driver and my vehicle holding from 9.30 A.M till 5 P.M. That's a horrible service Mahindra. No one was even attending to the vehicle until 1.30 P.M. I send my vehicle from about 60 Kms just to waste the entire day. After my driver kept nagging them continuously, they finally take my vehicle for service and does the change of the Mobil and oil . My driver complaints of a body sound of the vehicle but then they say don't have staffs to attend to it and keeps my driver till about 6 P.M doing nothing. Finally my driver gets annoyed and brings back the vehicle back without even washing it on the first service, since they kept him holding the whole day doing nothing. How disgusting and annoying that they do not value the time of other people and haress their customer in the name of servicing the vehicle. Pathetic Mahinda !!!. Its not expected, when customer service is a priority in today's world.

I dont know how much this complaint of mine will be addressed. But for me as a customer of Mahindra from the dealer Ramnarayan Shiwprasad, Jorhat Assam, I say its a pathetic sales and service unit they have and it took away my peace of mind. Being a customer of Maruti and Hyundai previously, I regret associating with Ramnarayan Shiwprasad, Jorhat, Assam and Mahindra as a whole. With a very thin hope that my future service experience with Mahindra will be able to change my opinion, I at least hope my complaint will be addressed in its true sense,
