I own a Mahindra XUV700 (TN66AT8668), a premium vehicle worth approximately ₹35 lakhs, driven only about 10, 000 km under normal conditions.
Before service, the vehicle had no braking issues at all. Immediately after a routine service at Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd authorised dealer Ramani Motors Private Limited, the vehicle developed severe brake judder and steering vibration during braking, clearly indicating a service-induced defect.
Despite reporting the issue immediately:
• The vehicle was kept in the service centre for multiple days unnecessarily
• No proper root cause analysis was conducted
• No technical checks (like brake disc testing) were performed
• The issue was wrongly labelled as wear and tear without evidence
The dealer initially demanded payment for repair and later offered it as a goodwill gesture, indirectly blaming me instead of accepting fault.
The proposed solution of brake disc skimming is unsafe as it reduces the life of a critical component and is not acceptable for a defect caused during service.
Even after escalation, there has been no accountability or proper resolution from Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Ramani Motors Private Limited.
Expectation:
• Free replacement of defective brake components
• Proper technical inspection
• Accountability for poor service
This experience has severely affected my trust in the brand.
