I own a Scorpio N Z8L Diesel 2WD. I have been regularly facing the issue of the Brake Disc malfunctioning due to severe wear. The front disc was sanded in[protected] KMs and was replaced in 21, 000 KMS within the warranty period and now the issue of both the disc has arised again in 44, 000 kms and the service centre sanded the front disc and replaced the brake pad. But the issue was not resolved and again they have send it for sanding today and has asked to replace both the rear discs.
Replacing the same is a costly affair and involves a lot of cost. I am requesting the service centre to cover it under my warranty as like the front discs but they are reluctant to do the same saying it comes under wear and tear, for which I am writing this mail to you, wherein the disc shouldn't be under your wear and tear policy as its a metal component as like any other metal components in the engine which also gets weared during the running of the vehicle. This is my 8th car from various brands and have never faced the issue with the disc. I dont mind replacing the brake pads as it definitely comes under the wear and tear policy.
Hope you will take up the matter and help me get the disc replaced free of cost within my warranty period.
This issue is pertaining due to some manufacturing issue with the material which gets weared so frequently.
